Me too, but Grim has a point. I noticed e.g. Wardens just being unkillable with Arctic Blast and my 6.5k weapon damage fully procced won't do shit. I don't wanna run sets that do the damage for me, but maybe you don't have a choice no more :D

@@ronjo1504 I just don’t play often enough to farm for new stuff, I already golded out everything so I’m just rolling with it. I do agree though tanky targets are rough I usually just try to leave the fight, sometimes I’ll try and replace shade with Mark target but then I lose my juking ability.

@@plnkfloydian7814 Yea, same here. The shitty performance in the main campaign doesnt exactly motivate to try out any new build and i roll with the existing stuff. I can really recommend a build rolling around the torc of tonal constancy, as with this, you can really afford spamming magicka intensive skills (e.g. I use Race against time, shade and mark target), letting your stam recovery shoot to extreme levels (3k+ stam regen no problem), given you have good control over your ressources.

This build is so much fun. First stamblade for pvp and it's just glorious..thanks. the difference between balorgs and blood spawn is night and day. Just doesnt hit nearly as hard when you need it but when you ulti..you Melt people. Seeing people run away and then sniping them with poison injection from cloak is so funny

Tried it, but don’t like it. I usually give it a run every patch, but the lower damage and speed just doesn’t feel good to me. Usually you take more damage upfront, but end up getting run over more, and that can be rough.

Just revisited this build, took me some time to get the transmute crystals and mats etc. But my god the sustain is brilliant, the damage is sacrificed but I can apply more pressure because Im not running out of stamina, I dueled a guildmate who asked if I was running a drain stamina poison but its just because im a little tankier now so he is running out of stam tryna take me down. Just grinding for the maul now 💪

Orc and dark elf would definitely work way better here than they did in the past. Here is the reason why I don’t go that way and still feel good about it: The multiplicative side of recovery was buffed this patch, meaning that if you have a lot of base recovery, you now have insane recovery, but if your recovery is low at base, it doesn’t change as dramatically when buffed. In no-cp especially the extra recovery is quite welcome. The second key reason is that roll buff: the speed aspect is better than orcs (you get the speed bonus while cloaking for one), but that pen is not to be underestimated haha. In this setup the gap is closer than ever (especially in cp), but I’d still take wood elf passives over Orc.

Wow! Such an impressive video! I want you to come to Norway and play a round like that on my PC!! Anyway, I followed your build but my numbers are nowhere near as high as yours are. I presume it's because I am not all Legendary on my gear and not all tri-stat on the enchants, because the armor/jewelry/weapons are almost the same. A printed build out would be great I have to say.

It could be CP for sure. If you’re not all Tri stats then you’ll have a big stat disparity. Infused weapon damage jewelry and mundus also make a big difference. What changes have you made armor/jewelry/weapons?

I need to follow your guide for being mostly divines and 1-3 well fitted. I now see I have A LOT of catching up to do. We will not discuss the Undaunted roulette wheel for getting the appropriate monster collar. :) Thanks once again. I am determined to follow this build to completion.

I actually like the vateshran 2h. It's pretty balanced in my opinion. Look at Spectral bow, it's a free damage every 5 lights and heavy and is long range. Vats 2h makes you spend resource and has no additional bonuses. The problem is everything else that allows plebs to be tanky. Maybe they should gut the game and add gearset armor type criterias and even abilities hahaha.

Plz need advice: As far as I’m aware since I don’t have greymoore i can’t get infused jewelry. Stam will work instead? Also, would dropping tristat for Stam glyphs and going bewitched sugar skulls work too? Maybe also Stam recovery on jewelry? Thansk! Good build too!

Great question. Stam on the rings is the best option if you don’t have greymoor 👍🏻. As far as Tri glyphs go things are a bit more complicated. I know those are super pricey right now, but I would honestly just go farm them out in IC- at least 3 for the head, chest, and legs. All 7 is ideal, but 3 at the bare minimum. The rest can be stam. I probably wouldn’t swap to sugar skulls and stam recovery jewelry, since that would be a massive loss of damage.

I just started the game a week ago and luckily found came upon a guild of players that have been super helpful. I started the game as a wood elf (fave race in elder scrolls games) and wanted to focus on the bow. I really want to play pvp once I get to the right level and this looks like the type of character I can go after. Firstly, welcome to the game! My advice is to enjoy the first phase of the game (questing, collecting sky shards, unlocking guild skill trees, horse upgrades, etc) while practicing good mechanics. You can check out my guide to animation cancelling here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWGWiJ5qdt16qKs. Animation cancelling is the single most important differentiator between medium and high performance players- and you can practice while you quest! After that, just make sure that you start unlocking all armor skill trees, and start leveling all your weapons (you never know when you might want to try something new out!) I made the mistake of running through all of the quests bow/bow when I should have been playing 2H/bow or dw/bow. Silly stuff like that xD

You should use syvvaras scales instead of venomous smite. It’s proc chance is off damage not just crit damage and has higher damage

Syvarra’s is actually significantly less damage. It has an initial hit of 1,000, followed by a dot of 1,730/second at base (the base number is modified by Cp, etc). Whereas Venomous, which also lasts longer (ideal for a backbar set), deals 2,241/second at base. That 511 damage per second is actually quite a bit of a difference in pressure. Lol venomous is literally 30% more damage before you even add modifiers. As for proc chance, besides the fact that you can guarantee a crit out of cloak, you’re still getting 4 chances per second to get a single crit at almost 40% crit chance (assuming minor savagery has kicked in, which it usually has). To me the choice is clear. I’d only elect to use Syvarra’s over venomous if I was in heavy armor or wearing malacath (which is what most people do, making Syvarra’s the more popular option).

Yep! Most likely at least. There are definitely compelling changes to races like imperials, but if the changes go through as they are currently proposed, then wood elf will hold the crown for 1vX.

I have a question, as someone who plays a lot of StamBlade, why do 99% of builds use executioner instead of assassins blade? I mean the heal is pretty awesome from the Nightblade execute. I run Dual-wield front bar so I don’t have executioner lol

Because damage is so high that you can execute from a higher health threshold. Killers blade you have to wait for 25%, but I regularly execute at 30% health and even higher.

Stam is a lot better for open world and outnumbered fighting, but mageblade can be pretty good at dueling. The biggest limiting factor is usually what armor sets your dueling scene has banned. An easy way of creating a toxic dueling build is usually to find a guild near you and see what they’ve banned in duels haha.

Yeah that would probably work! Not sure I would change too much there. Just make sure you have an easy way to crit somebody on your backbar. Hurricane and blade cloak seem like they would be good options.

3k is nice but not at all necessary. Maybe if you’re playing a build that has no choice but to face tank multiple attackers, but with cloak and shade I am not one of those guys. Bloodthirsty is great dps, but no healing, and kind of meh when you’re opponent is at full health. In PvP it’s just simply not as good as it is in PvE.

Nah, Ev is just so much more consistent that torc, and it gives you that juicy health recovery too. EV allows you to spec your mundus full damage in a way torc cannot. Plus I also thing Balorg is way too good to trade for torc.

Hey man! Really like the build and the detailed explanation! Couple of questions though: How is your stam regen so high? Even without the food it would be over 2000 and you don´t have any recovery enchants on, right? Also: In BGs (so non- CP) I get hit with 10k beetles and executioners. How do you play around that without impen gear? I mean, obviously I am still bad at pvp and I didn´t invest in all gold gear and prismatic enchants yet, as I wanted to test the build and play-style a little before wasting lots of expensive resources :) But even with good movement (which I don´t have yet) at some point you need to get into the action to get some damage out and at that point I get burned down by all the aoe that is flying around, especially on chokepoints like flags, etc. With all the DK leaps, Grothdar, sub-t assaults, stuns, snares, etc. it is really hard to get any skills off before I am dead.

My stam regen is high between food, race, and EV, which together with the new major and minor endurance add huge recovery multipliers. Stamblade also gets % recovery added, so the more base you have the bigger those multipliers become. You used to need crit resistance to survive, but they have given us so much base crit resistance that if face tanking isn't your main line of defence, you really don't need to run impen. It still helps of course, but not as much as other traits. Movement really is the key to your last question. AOEs can certainly be a pain, but if you're using shade well, it will be pretty rare to get all of those abilities and sets proccing at one in a way that simply can't be dealt with. Keep practising your combo so that it remains quick and smooth so you don't have to spend time face tanking. Hope all of that helps!

@@Grimhallow Thanks for your reply! On my Orc I sit at 1.4k-1.5k stam regen without artaeum food, but with all purple EV gear and 55 points into stam. So even when accounting for the food and gold vs purple gear difference, I feel like there´s still a massive gap which I can´t pin point. Apart from that it´s probably mostly practice indeed. Guess I didn´t pick the easiest class when I thought about getting into pvp :-D

@@gerritkusenberg3600 The problem is your race. I think you're not factoring multiplicative bonuses. The value of wood elf and food is (258 wood elf stam recovery +338 food stam recovery * refreshing shadows 1.15 and minor endurances 1.20). So wood elf + food comes out to 804 stam recovery. It's huge. The difference between Orc and Wood Elf is 348 recovery before you even add in potion multipliers.

I don't think it's as good, but it's not terrible. Venomous smite is a lot more damage than briar, and VVH Maul is a lot more damage than a master bow.

Hey Grim, Trying this Build tomorrow but I")) be honest, I dont want to leave my DW for 2H, I have always found 2h clunkly and I feel more comfortable with my dagger and axe. Because of this could I keep the masters bow on my back bar and put venomous on my front bar instead? Or would it be worth farming the vattershan DW, and incorporate hidden blade into my rotation? Also what do you think to Shadow walker as resource set? Not popular but the stam and health recovery in cloak and stealth has been my favourite so fair and nothing I have tried has come close (maybe Kynes)

Hmmmmm I understand where you’re coming from, and you can definitely run whatever you want, but I’ll tell you what I would do, and what I recommend to you. I would never run duel wield. It’s simply worse than 2H. Unfortunate though that may be- because dw/bow is very rp. But in PvP, rally is simply irreplaceable. Given your situation though, I’d say run venomous front and back bar. I think the vate dw is kind of trashy. If you have masters dw, that would be way stronger. Then have venomous just on the backbar and master dw front bar. As for sustain sets, eternal vigor is simply the best. Shadow walker used to be really cool a few years ago, but nowadays eternal vigor completely overshadows it. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck!!

@@Grimhallow hey grim, so I gave this a go, still havent swapped to 2H yet, but I stuck my asylum daggers on and stuck steel tornado on my flex spot. Noticed the sustain and survivability instantly but only sitting around 2.5k Weapon Damage and I can really feel that drop, before I farm the hell out of transmute crystals and turn everything into Divines/Infused what can the weapon damage potentially get back up to? Instead of a proc how what are your thoughts on replacing it with New Moon or Clever?

@@callumsullyfitness new moon and clever have objectively underperformed for me this patch, and the reason why is that you’re just not doing enough damage to burst down 35k health players with max resistances. You need some form of pressure, and the crazy efficient sustain allows for a ton of damage. I’m hitting 4K weapon damage with just Rally, and 4.3k with continuous. When I use my Balorg incap or bow ult, I generally have over 5k damage (plus all that pen).

Ahh ok what a shame, was loving my 20+ killstreaks in BG with NMA & Sheer venom prior to this patch, and then since greymoor it is painful watching everybody either mitigate my bursts or heal out of it, and I'm just like (I'm a stamblade, what the hell is going on? 🤣) Cheers man, I think I am gonna bite the bullet and go 2H just for Rally, I always used Draining Shot on my Bow for my burst heal in combination with Vigor, but as you say 2h is just better 👍

How vital would you say the vateshran maul is in this setup? Unfortunately I don’t have the DLC :( Would front barring poisonous work or is not having the maul a dealbreaker for this build?

No certainly not a dealbreaker! The mail is certainly nice, but front barring venomous smite would be pretty decent too, and a little easier to play technically. I would maybe plan to get eso plus for a month and grind the heck out of vateshran, but in the meantime front barring Venomous will absolutely work :)

Well, what do you think running shuffle instead of venom arrow ? I think venom arrow works with master's bow but major evasion is a must.

I've never felt major evasion is a must; At least not for the last year or two. Venom arrow is super useful for proccing venomous smite, interrupting resses/snipes, and more. If I wanted to fit major evasion in, I would front bar mirage (assassin passives) and use crit pots instead of camo hunter.

@@DoctorAsclepius patience. Necros, especially in a dueling spec, are among the top two tankiest classes in the game while still being able to hit hard. You will have to play a lot cleaner than a necro just to keep fighting. So be patient, pressure from range, track where is ult is and avoid getting hit by it.

You’d have to drop either the Vateshran Maul or Balorg, and I’m not super down to drop either. Plus I prefer not to use a gap closer- they make you a bit too vulnerable.

ZI think you would almost lose damage with clever alch since you'll have to build in so much recovery elsewhere, but you could certainly go for it! Clever alch is a great set and would still be good, but I am not sure it is better than EV, especially in a BG. I would run clever with all well fitted, and the serpent. Then maybe you could get away with the same food and just forgo mag recovery.

I think being able to 1 bar this setup makes up the difference upfront, but even then, venomous smite gives similar ticks of damage without even having to land light attacks, so you can kill people who are panic rolling.

@@Lcredo I think EV ends up adding a lot more pressure than Morag Tong. I've never been a big fan of MT honestly, there just isn't enough synergy to get the crazy damage you need to justify giving up healing potential. With EV you end up getting both the health recovery and enough recovery to go full divines warrior.

I have been trying to find my calling for PvP Stam builds...I usually play with a friend who plays MagSorc or MagPlar and we BG/No-CP cyro.....Is this build ideal to duo with that friend or would a Warden/Necro/DK still be better? I do hate the nature theme of warden though, but in general I don't love the squishy playstyle. I love the abilities of the NB and how they work (I hate dizzy swing that's why I can't bring myself to love those other classes), but im worried ill just keep getting 1shot.

Stamblade is a great pairing with mag sorc and a poor pairing with magplar (unless he is playing a magplar ganker). I don’t get one shot very often, even in medium, so if you’re on the fence I wouldn’t worry about that. Honestly that’s a though call to make. Ultimately it’s going to come down to you? What does your gut say? If you don’t follow it, you’ll always doubt yourself until you try it. Duos are always best on the class you like to play the most. Once you get into organized small and large group that kind of changes, but as a duo you truly can follow your preference.

Armor motif on the chest. It’s Sai’sahans chest piece, I wear it as well. His skin was a limited time thing, might come back. A cooler one is coming, but you have to play during events to get event tickets to purchase the requirements. Search it up.

@@Tberg725 It's when the server lag becomes too bad, and you basically disconnect from the server for a moment. You'll often see other players frozen in their last action while you walk around and observe. Then the server catches up and you see everyone performing the actions that they have already done in fast forward until you're caught up. Dying when that happens always feels like getting cheated.

Not as well obviously, but people don’t cleanse forever- I’ve found it to be more effective than max stat builds because you have so many different forms of pressure. Get them thinking about the dots and you have the vvh 2H and all your other attacks coming at them.
