When we had the Grimace shake here in 🇨🇦, the flavour was blueberry. Wasn’t blueberry yogurt though. Grimace shake was really good and that triple cheeseburger looked good too! Can’t believe it took me so long to find the Shaka Shaka seasoning her you sent me. 🤣😂Thank you so much for the shout out! 😃😎

Haha, I can't even remember when we had that flavour, probably within the last year though... ;)

No garlic is (almost) always better than garlic stuff so the missing garlic burger was really more of a blessing than a misfortune. Maybe some garlic in mayo sauce for sawarma, a hint of garlic in 1) meatballs made mixing beef, egg and bread and in 2) aspic ... that's all I could think garlic is good for.

Nice video as usual Paul! In order to guarantee you get hot and fresh fries every time at McDonald’s (and most fast food places) - ask for fries without salt. They pretty much need to make a new batch right then. If they ask why - you could say that you have high blood pressure. Just make sure you have a bunch of salt packets in your car to put on them. 🤓
@CriticalEatsJapanАй бұрын
Yeah, I have heard that, maybe with the seasoning the salt might not even be necessary. But I'd rather complain about it in a video ;)

I always eat my fries first when I get fast food, I'm not the biggest fan of fries in the first place, so when they get cold I just can't bother with them. I remember McDonald's having a cheap triple cheese burger when the Hercules Disney movie came out back in the 90s, good times.

They had the Grimace shake in my area for a very short time last year. Heard it was berry flavor. If you don't find the garlic burger, it would be a tasty burger for a bbq in the park later. I'm wondering if there are copycat recipes for the different shaka shaka fries seasonings.🤔 Mahalo for the great review.👋😎
@CriticalEatsJapanАй бұрын
You mean putting the shaka seasoning on things other than fries? Like popcorn or something?

@CriticalEatsJapan yes. And on fries, too.😎👍

The major league baseball & football stadiums around San Francisco Bay Area have garlic fries ---> about five to six generously heaping tablespoons chopped garlic (from Gilroy, California). Lightly sautée garlic in (preferably olive) oil, then toss with fries in a bowl to coat & serve with extra garlic added on top. I do the same with sautéed whole/ sliced mushrooms for burgers/ hot dogs, or as appetizer.😎

I cant remember, have you had Shake Shack yet? There is one in Tokyo I heard. They have, in my opinion, the best American cheeseburger. And their shakes are really good too.

Ooh I really fancy a McDonald’s now. I don’t think their fries are as good as they used to be. I think they prepare too many in advance, so by the time we get them, they have gone limp. My appetite is very small at the moment so a triple burger would be too big for me, but it did look very nice. 🤤 I do love seeing all the different things they bring out in Japan.
@CriticalEatsJapanАй бұрын
Even when they are fresh here they are not as good a I imagine they should be... I've had way too many limp cold ones here too :(

When McDonald's introduced the grimace shake the first time, I didn't like it. It was a me thing, but I still didn't like it. I didn't see it funny at the time, do you have some sort of, poisonous milkshake. I didn't like it at all. It felt like a personal attack on me, without it literally been a attack on me. Sure, lots of people have done it, I just don't like the idea of a deadly milkshake, I didn't appreciate that. I don't like that people, celebrated a birthday, by turning it into a horror video clip. That put a crack in my heart. I am the type of person, vets embraces everything, but, it was difficult for me to embrace that.
