Should we keep using them? Personally, I don't think assault and last stand add that much complexity to the game. I preferred the half movement version of assault.

I think last stand should be default action, otherwise Shaken just seems like the previous Stunned, but you are not automatically knocked out when hit. Planning to see how Overwatch will work - should be really good for any range-focused unit guarding the objective.

@@PeepoStrong Last Stand just gives you the option to fight instead of removing the stun(shaken). You can still be knocked out the same as before. I know the terminology is confusing lol

@@hauntswargaming is it stated somewhere in a new rules that if you are shaken and get hit you are knocked out? I took a look and was completely unable to see it - I remember that in 3.2.0 it was said explicitely.

@@PeepoStrong I don't think you can charge a shaken unit and automatically knock them out anymore. If that's what you're referring to. I'm kind of expecting them to put out another update sometime soon because 3.3.1 felt pretty rushed. I honestly don't know how some of these obvious rules issues don't come up if they are playtesting this.

@@hauntswargaming how cute, you think they playtest it. They do not even PROOF READ it mate. But hey, it is free, so there's that. They could be sooooo much better with very little effort though. We would even do the work for them if they asked. Nuking the forum over that clusterfark that is Discord was another stupid idea. The way they are changing rules so fast and chaotically is also very bad. I hope they find their way again, OPR has a lot of potential.

I enjoy these battle reports! I don't play the game, but I love painting the minis. You explain the rules well and keep the content interesting. I am slowly understanding the mechanics of the game.

Personally I would like to see how the game for you would look like with objective cards. Planning to use random events in my games. Love you guys are using a dice tray - saw last week battle of Helm Deep by PlayOnTabletop and they didn't use it which caused a massive mess when die hit minis. One comment: when you were showing the minis and their special rules I think the panel describing the rule disappeared too quickly - I had this issue just in the beginning of the movie during the presentation.

Thanks for the feedback! Objective cards have never really been appealing to me, but maybe we'll try them sometime. Random events could be fun. I could see them really screwing one player over to. That's why I'm hesitant to use them again outside of a narrative game. This is the first time I've tried adding the special upgrade rules at the beginning of the video. I'll probably leave them up for longer next time.

Just to clarify the point about Shaken: You first test for wound effects, and THEN you strike back. This means you will be fatigued due to the Shaken status, unable to seize or contest objectives, and will automatically fail morale tests. Consequently, you will be hitting on 6s for the return strikes. In the next activation, you must stay idle to "shake off" the Shaken status.

at 10:42 when the elf moves and then shoots the berzerker.. doesn't the dwarf gets cover bonus from the other elf obstructing the line of sight? Nice video +1. PS: I would check the dices of the elfs player to see if they are loaded (just roll the dices a dozen times, if half+ of the rolls are 6s.. then probably are loaded and should be excluded from the games), because is very unprobable that all those 6s came up so often. To check them costs nothing, and remove all doubts. Could be that 1-2 of them have manufacturing defects.

Yeah, when I first started playing the skirmish version I didn't like it as much as the full game, but it has grown on me.
