Hey GDN, nice to see you covering anther great game series. Fighting chorts and fiends were some of the bests moments in Wild Hunt.

They were definitely stronger opponents.

it's not quite true that they have nothing in common. in most cases it's a collection of creatures that have existed since before the conjunction of the sferes

Like the cryptids of the Witcher world; the Continent and beyond. Every expansive fantasy universe has gotta have a Chort-equivalent; whether the species evolves out of it or not. A Gor by another favored universe's name, combined with an Oaf anthropomorphized. Yeah, I found the Fiend to be scarier when game-playing against one as an adversary obviously because of that Third Eye; both in its appearance and its effect...the antlers don't abate any anxiety, either. Or the gaping eyes. Shaelmaars would keep me more wary and on-the-move than against Gargoyles sometimes because of their fiercer appearance and that Zerg-like, Tyrannid-like boulder-rolling. As Geralt, I'm the Witcher bowler and it's the monsters that are the pins! Thank you, as every week at least, for this appetizer into the anticipated relicts, GDN. From the Witcher Schools' really-paranormal records. May all of the deities' blessings be upon you, goodsir.

Never thought to compare these to Gors. That's an interesting idea.
