I will point out some of the difference. I did add how to get a dragon in this guide. So if you want your first dragon use the timestamps otherwise skip that section if you want a challenge. The creating a character selecting was great and it’s awesome how you explain everything so clear for people who don’t know but about this game, these kinds of older games are definitely the best! Lots of nice looting in this and the UI section looked pretty easy to understand, I prefer when I’m playing a game that is more simple😆 however it’s cool how you can only sell items from the shops that they can be bought from, great advice all the way through Lord Fenton! The spells in this look fantastic too! Keep them coming and left a huge like!😁🙌🔥

The character creation once you know what to do you can do so much damage. I've left the Dragon out of there because they are party members only. The UI the devs back in the day did a wonderful job of and I like it since it's simple including the inventory. They used to do that for shops in RPGs in the day. You couldn't sell some armor to a magical shop thus makes you go to the proper ones. The spells in this game like 6 and 7 just owns. Flying around the map to well that one dark magic that does outdoor damage in the zone your in. Thanks Don Don. Any more classics or certain modern games I will do in the future.

thank! M&M is that D&D campain that spun on for 20 years. while I prefer the 'heroes' ov M&M 2, 8, and 9 hold special places in my heart. little me never beat them and big me suffers from 'restartitus'. with constantly 'wonder what x and y party' could do here. i don't have the patience to get half way through M&M to go back and make the better party so you are doing most ov the leg work and letting me play the game blind(ish) does this game run into the same problem all the other M&Ms do? 'make a balanced party till you get a blaster then spend all points in blaster and wonder why you spent so much time and effort individualizing your characters and how many points you should have saved to put into blaster'?

My pleasure. Heroes is a very good game. I like in Heroes 3 and 4 mainly. Might and Magic 8 does not have any blasters. They went bye bye. You start out with one character and hirelings are your party members. Just the dragon one is OP so you can avoid dragons to recruit. The Necromancers and Clerics are very good characters to OP depends on how you stat them up. Rest are fine as well so you can balance with yourself and four others.

so its a more traditional rpg with no endgame 'its actually a scifi story'? fun. there is a mod this lets play is using that let's you make the full 5 party at the beginning. do you think this unfairly unbalanced the game or is it engaging enough that making a full party would add to the rp element? other questions. how do trolls hold up end game? I'm guessing with bodybuilder and regeneration they have a life pool that fluctuates but remains strong despite low armor. i like the idea ov a dark party and want to have a troll replace the knight. full party would be dragon, troll, necro. the other two are still being mentally debated. do you think if I went double/tripple troll I could skip a cleric? dark elves look like a rogue with bonus majik after basic trap detail. not sure I like that may add one to pull majik support and let the necro focus on damage. minotaur look like they don't get enough majik to make them getting majik useful. do they get good enough spells to make them useful or are they just warriors that cast simple spells at the start? vampires look like an appeal to 90s kids but may beat out minotaur as a simple buffer? like the troll to paralize with weapons... is it useful or just looks good on paper? @@LordFentonGaming

@@nunyanunya4147 The mod might give you a small edge but play what style you want on that with the mod. Trolls aren't bad. They do have that GM Leather which can add elemental resistance. Mace and Staff not bad too since the stun factor. As for Bodybuilding more HP than a Knight. I prefer a Knight however Troll is a good option. Add a Cleric for the Cleric type of spells and your set.

REALLY want to avoid a cleric. that is why I was thinking of adding extra trolls for regeneration and self healing. is it like 6 where you NEED a druid to finish the game? @@LordFentonGaming

@@nunyanunya4147 The Minotaur is a decent one to do since his axes owns and can cast body, mind and spirit magic up to expert. If you level your necromancer dark magic they get a party life drain spell. Use it on foes and heals the party. I forgot about that one.

Thanks. This game was released in 2000. One of the last great RPGs from New World Computing before the dreaded MM 9 and 3DOs closure. I wanted to help people who want to experience this awesome game.

Speedrunners of this game go with necromancer starter class. However, if you want to play this game normally, I recommend starting with a Troll. Trolls are very powerful frontal fighters. your starting character will be in the front in your party and the character furthest to the right will be the furthest back, that's why I recommend a troll. You can do with a knight too, but I think trolls with their regeneration is better. The reason I went with troll is that trolls are the last race you encounter in the game, so you won't get your first troll character until very late. On dagger wound Island you get a necromancer, a knight a priest and a vampire right away, so you don't want to be starting with any of these classes. You could go with priest and then just keep the necromancer and recruit 3 dragons and your party is done, that is also an option. So for a starter class I recommend Troll or Cleric. my end party setup is: me, either as a troll or priest, 3 dragons (2 if I go with Troll) and the level 50 dark elf and if I went with troll I ditch one of the dragons for a priest. with this setup you win the game very easily.

Very good starting advice. I heard people made a nerco than goes with a cleric and the three dragons to tear stuff up. My first party when I started was a knight, cleric, necro, vampire and dark elf. It was interesting experience. Glad you stopped by.

if you want to go with a dragonless party, recruit all the other high level characters you get later on, there is a knight a necomancer a dark elf (the one you need to finish the game) and so on, thats powerful too. but dragons are busted.

im almost at completing this game and yet i dont know how to take stuff from chests automaticaly, i click on them then click on the characters i want to have the items... and yet i see in vids how the item dissapears and get into inv on its own

This is what I read. Click on an item than while holding it select the number for party member. It will automatically go to them. This game lacked a real auto loot feature which is a bummer.

actually, the Troll can wear up to Chain armor. do your research. later in game, the Troll can wear Chain. But he masters in Mace only.

As for chain for troll they can but only expert. Leather is a nice fit for them because of the master rank bonuses and later on GM is nice. Chain does have good expert bonus of 50% recovery pent only. As for trolls they can GM Staff and Mace upon promotion thus good idea to pick which one you want to focus.

Here is a good tactic bumb rush dagger go straight to avlar speak to promotion to dark elf promotion dude go mummerwoods Woods speak to the guy u need to speak to get scrolls go straight to end of the massive symbol he has probably shown u then go bk to alavar save outside magic shop don't go in before saving then save nd load till u find invisibly nd town portal if u want to go for fly to move round faster blackthorn can learn tht shit from moment u get her,, next u need storm lance u get these 2 ur golden till u hav to enter crystal I didn't level up my first dude all way through I leveled him up at getting crystal key
