Yeah, after all the shocks & twists of the last few episodes this episode took a breath. It still moved the characters along though, I love watching Bitsie Tulloch playing Juliette currently. Some people thought Juliette was acting out of character, however, she wasn't, as it's been established in the show that your Wesen side & aspect alters your personality. I think there was even an episode seasons back where Blutbads were using an experimental device to control their Blutbad side. So, Juliette being a Hexenbiest will alter her emotions greatly. I say greatly because Juliette wasn't born a Hexenbiest, she had no Wesen DNA inside her, no family history, and no years of growing up & going through her teens being hyper-emotional with these added urges inside her allowing her to build up some control. She just suddenly became this, I cannot begin to imagine the effect this would have on anyone's emotional state. Especially being a Hexenbiest. It's very fun to watch. I've also got to say, I found your read of Renard interesting. I love his character but I've never considered Renard as being very loyal to anyone but Renard. His alliance with Nick seemed to be motivated in large part by his problems with the royals & he's always struck me as being more... flexible, morally speaking, more ambiguous, which makes his character fascinating. The burn wouldn't have cured her condition. People would still die if they touched her, they just wouldn't be as encouraged to do so because of her scars. The potion made her green, but she could touch and love people without killing them. So she was cured from her curse, and even found someone who thought she looked great.

This is the way Juliette was written. I have no problems with it. She does seem less like herself, in a way that is counterintuitive to how she has acted in the past. Although this is a new experience for her.

It makes sense that, after going through all these biological changes, that she would also experience psychological changes as well. You can even approach it from the biological OR the psychological side: the trauma of the sudden physical change, the realization of her new abilities, the feeling of having power that most people (and even Wesen) don't. All these things are going to affect a person's psyche even if you reject the notion that biological changes can affect a person psychologically.

it’s just that I’m enjoying seeing the journey as a viewer, it’s the excitement of not knowing how she’s gonna behave etc. it’s a great watch.

@@raymondamador1487 That's a bit of insulting to an actor/ess imo. It's one thing when someone hating on the actors themselves, but hating a character is a testimony about how good they portrayed it.

This should have been the flatworm Wesen episode, but the original had no imagination and made no sense. This Wesen should be born as a single sex and then be able to shift when they reach the age to start changing. This Wesen remains the person they are in both forms unless a traumatic event causes an alternate personality to emerge. Only those born female are able to have children and once they do can no longer shift between the genders. This Wesen woman has been trying to get pregnant to get rid of her alternate male personality, but the male personality always emerges to stop her. Each attempt she has made has resulted in her male persona becoming more violent. Nick and Hank have been on this case for a while, but finally catch a break when a traffic camera catches the woman in her car wearing the clothes of the latest male victim. Rosalie volunteers to pick up Adalind and stay with her when Nick is busy on the case. Rosalie is upset by the fact Adalind first got pregnant with a child she did not intend to keep and then got pregnant again without wanting to do so. Adalind suggests to Rosalie that that just because Rosalie cannot have children does not mean Rosalie will not be a mother one day. Nick and Hank finally catch up with the woman and work with Rosalie to start giving the Wesen woman something to prevent her from being able to change forms. She finally picks up a man at a convention and the man quietly leaves her room in the middle of the night.
