Good video! I am very impressed with the technology going into agriculture; Grimme being some of the more impressive machinery and technology. Farming Simulator is a game that I play a lot, and it has taught me about the procedures and machinery required. I hope to drive this one in Farming Simulator some time in the future. :) Keep up the great innovations you do, Grimme!!!

I have another question. I've seen beet harvesters with as much as 12-row digger. I think your own company produces them. But potato is only 4. And that's the biggest machine. What stops you from making a 12-row potato harvester?

You never know what comes in the future. A very important point is to handle the potato very gentle and there are also other facts, like the weight and the width of a machine and how do you separate the soil from 12 rows ;-)

How many hectares per hour (or per day) can you do with this machine?

That depends on what kind of soil you have, what conditions you (whet or dry) and how the structure of the field is. So it is really hard to say.

Maybe you can give me minimum? Maximum? Average. I'm not building a business strategy on your reply. And I'm NOT going to sue you if you give me the "wrong" answer. I'm not American. :-) I'm just curious how fast can you harvest 1000 ha of potato on good light soil. I see some people on the internet say it only does 2 ha a day. And I just cannot believe that such a huge machine does that little.

We can't say a maximum or minimum. But you can calculate what the machine ould do. If the machine drives 5 km/h and you don't have to turn a lot on the headlands, than you can do roundabout 1,5 ha/h. This calculation fits with row width 75 cm.

Danke für das Kompliment! Das Video haben wir zur Markteinführung des VARITRON 470 erstellen lassen. Für den TECTRON haben wir das damals nicht machen lassen, deshalb auch kein Video in dieser Form. Zum Songtitel können wir leider nichts sagen. Da wir das Video damals nicht selber erstellt haben, ist uns nicht bekannt, wie es heißt.
