Small world. I just met Grimmlife at the Days of the Dead convention about two weeks ago and today they drop being in Taft, CA. I grew up there in the late 1970s. Specifically, Fellows just outside of Taft but I saw movies at the Fox theater there on Center St (The most immediate that I remember, is seeing a double feature… Convoy and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century). We were always running around Taft and doing things.

Shelley Duvall, the beloved star who played Jack Nicholson’s wife in The Shining, has died, aged 75, News of her death was announced by Dan Giloy, her partner since 1989. oh i had no idea this was on Soda Lake Road!! it's very brown and dry now at your visit, but that's right next to the Carrizo Plain National Monument which has had a super bloom in the spring a few times recently. (and you're very close to the San Andreas Fault there - there's a trail in Carrizo that you walk right along the fault.) we visited there last spring, but we were coming from SLO so didn't go as far east as Taft. i had no idea we were right there where the video was filmed! now i know for next time :)

We're finally able to watch it (we were filming ourselves yesterday hehe). But love how you guys found these exact spots and it also shows how things cease to exist in time. All the shops they filmed are closed, the drums being out of service since July 2013. Time goes by way too fast. The way you filmed with the drone is so well done, it feels like being in a film. Another amazing video =D.

Really loved this video, as I was a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan when i was a teenager. Regarding the song/music video, the song was actually about Billy Corgan overcoming a serious case of writer’s block so “Today is the greatest day …..” line was him expressing joy at the fact he no longer had writer’s block. The video, as most music videos in the 90s probably made no sense/didn’t align with the “meaning” of the song, but its vivid colors and the carefree driving around seems reminiscent of that moment of joy. Thanks again for another great Grimm adventure!

BC had writers block, but he was suicidal. It's such a Billy Corgan song. The song gives you a feeling of hope musically, but the lyrics are about suicide, and really sad. If that is Billy Corgans' sense of humor. A song about feeling suicidal combined with the vibrant colors/visuals of the video. He's one of a kind.

my favorite Smashing Pumpkins song is "TONIGHT,TONIGHT", has a special place in my heart and memory, involves my car getting painted, walking across town trying to make it to my grandparents house, but not getting there, calling for them to come and get me. my late Grandad came to get me, and took me back to their place for a night and pick my car up the next day. but the clincher to all this is while walking that day for a while on my walk man they were playing Tonight tonight on the radio, and i loved that song already as a new song from them, playing on heavy rotation, and later that afternoon while settling in with Mtv in my guest room what is the first thing i see and hear..is Tonight tonight, and just blew me away with the timing and all, from that point i'd knew i'd remember that day and my now late grandparents help from them when u needed it the most.

Can you believe that I've never seen Today's video? I don't recall ever seeing it. I've seen Tonight, Tonight which is what came to mind. The ending of your video was cute and funny. In the video you mentioned the movie Seven. Just past the grapevine heading south on Interstate 5, if you take highway 138 East about 25 miles you will see where they filmed the ending scene to the movie with all the high tension power poles crossing the fields. What's in the box?
