What are the torque specs for the bolts that go into the turbo itself? I'm not installing this specific Grimmspeed product but I'm in the process of installing your EBCS and Chargepipe right now and I'm wondering if you guys know the torque spec's for those. Thanks!

5.5 ft/lb on the turbo inlet bolts. 11.8 ft/lb on the charge pipe bolts.

I just installed this and I'm getting smoke from where the header meets the turbo. Is this normal for first startup or should I be concerned? After market catted downpipe and cutback also installed

We haven't confirmed for ourselves, but we believe they should fit. The factory header is the same part number, so it should bolt up just fine.

Assuming you are referring to the GS header, we haven't confirmed fitment for Forester's ourselves, but we believe they should fit. The factory header is the same part number. Keep in mind generation changes. For more info on this, feel free to give our customer service team a call. They would be better suited to give you a solid answer. As far as turbos, GS turbos fit on *most EJ series engines. Again, call for confirmation if you have any doubts.

Judging by the angle of the studs on the turbo and cylinders plus the heatshield u need to remove to access upper bolts, you are not able to do so without taking the whole thing off, the FA24 is not like this tho

Nice 👍. I always need more tools and time, always. I'm curious how long it takes robots to make the factory headers. How much longer and extra effort it would take the same robot to build a header similar to the Grimm Speed unit? Better pipe, better flanges, and jigs is all that isneeded so I'm curious why factory (exhaust) stuff always looks low rent. If machines/robots can cut and bend the pipe, then weld it after its in the jig, the only limiting factor is cost...but that cost is reduced by magnitude of scale.

@@GrimmSpeed Nice video! Honestly, EGR is more of a pain in the ass than what this looks. Nothing about this install is hard to get too. All depends on how much of a pain the nuts want to be.

I'm not sure if this is worth the trouble on my 2015 WRX. I have my exhaust aftermarket from turbo onwards. When I replaced the J-Pipe that was a huge pain. Removing the muffler components was also a hard thing to do with the rusting on it with bolts etc. Real nice when everything is just surface rust and such :).

It's so early in the WRX release that there isn't really much information about that. I'd say do a quick search or compare VA rack vs VB rack and see the differences.
