I’m so glad that in this video, you guys showed the bypass valve coming out with the inlet. I just bought both the bypass valve and inlet form you guys and can’t wait to install!!!

ordered mine just this morning and already on its merry way ... will be installing this bad boy on my 20 Limited along with Cobb charge pipe ... 🤗

Made an attempt to install this while retaining the factory boost control solenoid. The location of the sensor port is so close toward the turbo that the pigtail for the sensor cannot plug in. Tried multiple ways to manipulate it, but will not work. Gotta try COBB inlet now. Hopefully won’t experience the same issue.

Mine arrived yesterday at 2:56pm CST yesterday! Didn’t get home from work until about 7pm, though. The holiday season is happy hour for bottom-feeders who still mail from private addresses. My inlet had been stolen long before I got home. :(

might as well add this to the GS intake (or other intake), and charge pipe because you are already in there, and it's a mess. Easily a $600+ parts swap, and if you add a new BPV, you're looking at even more. Definitely a worthy upgrade, but it's just a one piece of the intake puzzle....

True, you dont want to have to go back in later and tear the intake tract out again to install this. Might as well do it all at once.

Hello. I'd like to know the type/size of hose plyers you guys used for the install? Looks like using that would be way better than my bare hands. Thank you 🙏

Not sure the exact size, but a good set of hose pliers like these (www.amazon.com/Pittsburgh-Piece-Long-Reach-Pliers/dp/B006ZB8WJ4/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=hose+pliers&qid=1663769484&sr=8-8) should do the trick. They definitely help make the job easier.

Yes. But will have to source different bolts to mount it.

I ordered one yesterday from SubiSpeed and realized I ordered it for a 2015-2016 WRX. Will it fit my 2019 WRX or should I send it back?

We have two fitments, 15-16 WRX, 17-21 WRX. You can modify the 15-16 to fit your 19, but i suggest just getting the correct fitment.

Does the stock boost controller fit or do we need to get the grimmspeed boost controller?

The Grimmspeed boost control solenoid uses the same port location and bolt pattern as the OEM one, so it should bolt right up.

If you plan on adding a new charge pipe later it won't work. I just found out tonight. The stock solenoid wont clear the Cobb charge pipe flange and I discovered it was because the GS inlet is slightly shorter, about a 1/4 ".

The OE fits with the GrimmSpeed charge pipe and inlet. We haven't done testing on other manufacturers parts.

@GrimmSpeed have you been able to test and see if the OEM boost controller fits with this inlet and other brands charge pipes, such as a Perrin charge pipe? I ordered this aluminum turbo inlet, and I have the OEM boost controller with the Perrin charge pipe. I left a message for support on your website like a day after I put the order in for this after reading some comments from other purchasers, but I have not received any replies on the matter. I would like to know so I don't end up with a part I can't use without purchasing other parts

@@GrimmSpeed it definitely doesn’t I have your charge pipe and turbo inlet, tried to install today it hits the metal flange from the charge pipe to the turbo.

Is a tune required for this upgrade? If so, how would I be able to do so if I can't buy an accessport as of right now? I understand cobb has put a hold on the tuning community for subaru but what are my options? I plan on doing an exhaust for my 17 wrx but realize I have to keep the cats since they can no longer be tuned out so to speak

No tune required for the Cast Inlet. Also COBB has not put a hold on tuning for Subarus. Just made some changes to the changes they can make.

@@tdoll521 the only way your Accessport is limited now is if you have parts that are going to modify or delete emissions. Ie j-pipe/downpipes, egr/tgv stuff. Anything that won’t modify emissions can still be installed and tuned using an accessport

@@tdoll521 I think you should watch this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIOcanWggc-gqbc If you’re doing a catback only, it has no effect and you can use an Accessport. If you modify a downpipe or j-pipe, those will modify stock emissions equipment and thus the Accessport won’t suffice

@@GrimmSpeed I did end up ordering that part, but forgot I left it at home on my way to my tuner. Even though I didn't get that part installed last time, the car did manage to put down 307whp/315 lb-ft of torque. So it'll be maxed out with FBO parts once that new turbo inlet goes on. Soooo I've made sure to put it in the trunk this time and I have an E85 dyno day coming up in 2 weeks. Hoping to put down 350+whp after this.

@@travisgreen2562 yeah it definitely gave a much more linear power curve in the midrange when I pull from 2nd & 3rd gear and i can hear the turbo spooling a lot more before my tuner added the E85.

We haven't confirm it at the shop, but it should work just fine. It has the same factory part number.
