Another nice video. You didn't solve my problem, but I figured it out watching this video. Watching you focus on the in-cockpit control switches rather than just hotkeys reminded me of the thought process of the game. It isn't really a hotkey arcady game. I had been pressing Autopilot alt/bank keys expecting it to engage, watching the video I just realized the hotkey is only flipping the switch, so thanks for that. Better to simply leave the modes off my stick, use 1, 2, and 3, to swap them as I think I heard you say you do in a previous video, and only have the Auto-pilot on off as a joystick control. "A" would be fine for that, but frankly I haven't found another function I need mapped to a joystick button, so until I do, it stays on my throttle and not my keyboard. I hope you continue this going over topics in finer detail that you seem to be doing right now. Trying to learn the A-10C and so far your videos have been the most helpful.

Another thing to consider in alt hold is wind. Autopilot will only hold you in the orbit but with wind bliwing your orbit will drift further and further downwind

You missed the entire part to make the EAC ARM switch stick. That's the part people mess up. The rest is straight forward. Need to set HARS to EGI behind the stick... The arm switch will not work when it's not and that's what people really are looking for

Cap great work. Can the autopilot be over ride while trying to air-to-air refuel? I hit the lever and the autopilot disengage

I know this is an older video but, I need help I have looked everywhere and I cant seem to find why my auto pilot button I have to hold it I cant just press it and leave it.

if you're in an altitude hold mode you need to be roughly level and roughly trimmed out.

No. You need to manually set heading etc then engage autopilot to hold it.
