I think Mads Mikkelsen was a better option for this role, he brings so much emotion to Grindelwald and Dumbledore's relationship, which i don't think Johnny Depp could really portray

I have to admit that I really prefer Mads Mikkelsen for the Grindelwald Dumbledore fell in love with. I think he has more chemistry with Jude Law than Johnny Depp had.

Agree. Their chemistry carried the whole movie. I love Johnny, he always gives his roles a little of that eccentric mad hatter vibe. He‘s very captivating in a different way. But Mads is the master at portraying bone chilling evil while interweaving it with a very touching vulnerability and emotion. It’s the Hannibal formula. And imo that was exactly the right approach to make both of Grindelwald‘s sides so believable.

I’m studying the first year of University and can’t really have much time to create something, hope it gets better soon. I agree the’ve should keep Johnny Depp in role but Mads creatived something different and interessting. Altough i like both movies i still prefer Johnny’s adaptation. I tried to feel the music with the clips and create some logical storytelling connection, glad you appreciate it. Have a great day!
