Buy some silica granules for future drone incidences. They are way more absorbent than rice, and you can dry them out in the oven.
@berinslaptop2 жыл бұрын
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Few things I noticed. You need a splash guard behind the seat to stop the transom wake wave wash from swamping the boat when stopping fast. Second strongly consider adding marine non flam. flotation foam in the engine area and in/under the bow and any other locations. One good flooding and that thing will sink like a rock. 3rd point consider adding some designer foam padding to the top of the wind screen, incase someone decides to grace there face on it after a big wave hop. Just saying, I'm in the marine industroy dealing with luxury yachts and everything inbetween in south florida.
@berinslaptop2 жыл бұрын
You will also want a now that I think about it. A duck bill inline checkvalve on the bilge pump hose. When the transom gets hit with wake wash water, it willl flood down the bilge hose flowing right out the pump until enough water triggers the float and it clear. Just something to keep in mind.
@majorrev86902 жыл бұрын
@@berinslaptop To keep the wash from flowing over the engine cover, he needs to remember to hit the throttle a little once off plane to get out of that zone. As most jet boat owners learn real quick to do. Full disclosure, I've never owned a jet drive boat tho. I have a Majek Xtreme. Every bilge output I've seen is on the side of the hull, not the transom. Could it be for the exact reason you mention?
@berinslaptop2 жыл бұрын
@@majorrev8690 Having to take an active action to prevent a problem is not a solution to the problem. Only a bandaid to a problem that its self can cause issues and problems. And still leaves the boat in a vulnerable state, as well as being an unknown issues to anyone else. Not a solution. the location of an output of a bilge does not matter so long as it does not stop the operation it is intended for. And has safe guardes to stop siphoning.
@berinslaptop2 жыл бұрын
@@majorrev8690 A simple aluminum or plastic splash wall mounted to the deck behind the seat matching the Seat profile would be an ideal solution. Simple to do, little time required and a REAL fix.
@majorrev86902 жыл бұрын
@@berinslaptop Fair enough Im not disagreeing with your suggestions at all. I do think, though, that every boat operator should learn all the idiosyncrasies of his/her watercraft. My hull is self draining and I still try to keep the water from flowing over the transom when I get off plane. I do this by SIMPLY running out a few yards. In the water, there aint no reason to feel like you need to stop on a dime. Well, where I fish anyway. Fish on!

Som jet boats also have adjustable side sponsors (correct name? Not sure, not native) to adjust the lean in corners - could be an option. 🤓🤔
@DataRew2 жыл бұрын
@@TheStuartstardust A sponson is what you are talking about. They're mainly used on sailing vessels or seaplanes. At the size of this boat, using Jet ski-style trim plates achieve the purpose of sponsons, and work much more efficently.
