Grew up in west central Illinois, all our equipment was old green machines. They all did the same jobs as yours. I didn't live on a farm but worked on family and neighbor's farms. I miss some of the things from my teenage years that I did on the different farms I worked on but not enough to want to farm myself. I try to tell my kids what life was like back then, we worked hard but had times to goof off too. I had enough money from odd jobs that I didn't worry about it until I got the idea I wanted a real job in town 25 miles away. I was broke most of the time after that. Haha. The small family farm is mostly gone when you could make a living on them but enough still survive through hard work and dedication to that idea of self reliance. Good work on the video, people need to know there are still family farms alive and working.

Yeah we are a very small family farm but my dad still works off the farm but he thinks this is the best way to teach me and my brother good values and keeps us pretty tight as a family, and I’m proud that we were raised this way. Thank you for your comment and watching.

That looks like running corn through a wood chipper! Good thing you have the Bobcat for getting that pallet out of tight space.

I used to drive a feed truck For Dekalb feeds both when they were just DeKalb feeds and after Huber bought them. I’m racking my brain trying to remember if I ever delivered to your farm

It’s to feed cattle, and we make 2 1/2 tons at a time, a steer will eat between 10 and 20 pounds per day depending on the size.
