I can't skate these until they come in 8.75 or 9" version. My days or 8.25 trucks went out with af1 44s and indy 144s. Nothing but 159s or 161s now. Ace Classic 55s or 66s

Try using just the single middle orange bushing which is a high quality different type of urethane and a softer durometer it will feel more responsive and turn easier than the top black one which is probably best for loose truck mode or super stiff mode.
@Averageadultskateboarder17 күн бұрын
I do need to spend more time on the middle softer bushings. I’ll skate them like that all this week and see what happens.
@Averageadultskateboarder17 күн бұрын
I like how responsive that hard top bushing is. It had good pinch. I’m getting all my old tricks back.
@Averageadultskateboarder17 күн бұрын
Oh at 10:55 I talked about using the middle bushings without the top hard bushings.
@GrindKingTruckCo17 күн бұрын
@@Averageadultskateboarder Based on what you said totally made sense that cold weather will make the bushing stiffer. That is why the middle softer one may seem to turn better in cold weather and is probably closer to a normal truck feeling. Also not to drive you crazy with options but you may want to try putting the orange middle bushing on top with the hard black one in the middle. This has another different feel. Love that you are experimenting with the different customizations which is what this truck is designed for. Skaters should experiment with it because it can be fine tuned to what works best for them.
@Averageadultskateboarder17 күн бұрын
@ sounds good. I didn’t do the best job explaining this. I think I’ve been tired and overworked at my day job. I need to make a live video sometime so I can get feedback and respond directly to people. Maybe after I skate the orange top bushings for a while.

informative video thanks. If you make another vid on these trucks, can you show and ride them in all the different possible base plate hole options for the wheel bases, and say the pros/cons and how they ride. Salute
@Averageadultskateboarder2 сағат бұрын
I’ve ridden them in all the positions. The normal position or all the way back work best for me. It depends on the deck. I tend to like a wide wheelbase.
@galvanizedgnome17 күн бұрын
Grindking recommends swapping out the 2 top bushings for 2 steel bushing washers of an old pair of indys. You get unlimited turn and a little jingle when you go over sidewalk cracks.

Interesting I’ll try that this week.

Good point of having same wheelbase just forward or backward from normal. A separate adjustment of its own.

@robertmiller682217 күн бұрын
Thunders look dull to me but I think their bushings are some of the best, I've replaced all my trucks bushings with thunders tried doh bohs and bones but they made noise the Thunder ones are silent first skate.
@diplenski17 күн бұрын
@@robertmiller6822 i don't like their bushings, they split. but i do think the conical bottom bushing is part of why they are so responsive. mini logo bushings are nice. if you rub wax on all the contact points(bushings/yoke/washers/pivot) and shave wax in the pivot cup it will help keep them from sticking/squeaking. i always do it to new trucks and repeat as necessary.
@Averageadultskateboarder17 күн бұрын

I’ve noticed that not all boards have truck holes drilled in the same spot, even if they share the exact same wheelbase. Adjusting your wheelbase on GK will vary from board to board. By the way, if you swap the middle bushing for a hard one, you’ll achieve the same effect but with better response. Independent standard 55mm Independent mid 52mm GK? Guessing 55mm
