This will be a bionic only dupe base on a standard large asteroid. There will be some pros and cons:
Pros:
No food needed!
Bionic dupes can hold their breath a long time and don't require much sleep (or beds)
Cons:
Much metal ore and power to keep our bionic dupes happy
We must avoid water! Batteries fail and dupes get very stressed out
We need abyssalite to make recharable batteries.

Use electrolyzers to get hydrogen for power. You don't need all that water to grow anything anyway

Are bionic dupes power positive as in if all they have is a hamster wheel hooked to a charger with plenty of eco batteries, will a single bionic make it or will they run out of power? Love the video's.

I suspect they are... since you can charge 1 battery in around half a cycle but I'm mostly guessing.

Each dupe holds 4 batteries eco if i remember are 120 each. I find having 4 eco bats times the amount of dupes. Then one more battery for each dupe works well but don't forget that they break eventually and you have to make new ones.

@@rupertbear4447 I've only ever seen them break by being exposed to Liquid while full of charge. I've had my dupes on Eco Batteries for ~50 cycles and haven't had to replace them yet.

i am coming from back but once you finished natural geyser early taming completely seal is good option for safety

They may not be germ immune. If I remember right, slimelung only works in polluted oxygen, so if they refill from clean oxygen, it doesn't matter if it's full of germs. Speaking of germs and seeing dupes eat the batteries, makes me worder if they can get food poisoning, if they eat a contaminated battery.

no clue. they are filling tanks with polluted oxygen and everything is slimelung now but nobody has gotten sick. Bug... or feature?

Question, if you know. Do you come out "gunk positive" just like the bathrooms for the dupes of the living? lol. The bathrooms of the dupes usually produce a bit more water than is used. Do the Bionics do the same thing? Good video. I am watching and enjoying.

You should put your battery storage close to your battery chargers so when they replace their batteries they are close to the chargers.......

when you have a project behind a checkpoint, deliver the materials to a local storage container, or you are getting 1 dupe deliver, then one finishes the build. they take turns, slowing things right down, if you have all the stuff they need down there they can get on with it I tend to have 3 or 4 storage areas for building materials to save delivery times, or build out of local materials that are laying around

I think it is probably a bit of an exploit but you can manually assign a dupe to wear an exosuit just like any other clothes from the Config Menu! And they do not ever need to take it off.

They need for repairs but if you like me use indestructible suits sometimes then it works forever

@@NatanStarke that's why it is an exploit because they will keep wearing it even when it is broken. Although if they gunk their suit then it will cause a morale problem. I tried setting it up so they use it like a regular dock to get outside their base, but I don't like it. I think I'm going to build a timeout room where they can go to clean out the gunk and repair their suit. Maybe force them to create a gear balm as well before they are allowed to leave.

If it was me, I'd probably check to see how long till the Natural Gas Geyser will start up again. If its in a couple of cycles I'd get that going for some power use. Otherwise I'd setup a Spom for the Hydrogen power and carry on with getting oil setup and stealing the last bits of coal. Not forgetting to do the power room tune up for the extra power generation on all generators.

Pretty good plan. The spom doesn't give off much net power.... without oxygen gas pumps it might be worth it though.

It is way way easier to vacuum a room by filling it with tiles and then deconstruct them after placing a liquid lock.

They added power rooms, could you make the charging stations a power room with heavy machinary and get another room bonus? also what does room bonus do to these bionic dupes? Does the light bonus also work? and how much and are you using it? Does the hottube bonus of no wet feet work? lol

I'm getting the power tune up bonus. Not sure if you mean something beyond that. Most room bonuses seem about the same. I have a few stations with lights. Not sure about the hot tub.

Just curious do you even need docking stations? If I recall correctly the docking station is mainly to refill the suits oxygen and since these dups don’t use oxygen the same way can’t you just equip the suits instead of docking them?

Watching them go all the way down that ladder, put on the suit, and then run all the way back up, is just painful. The fact that they can't predict the next job and do stupid things like this is one of my biggest peeves about this game. Please, for the love of god, build a storage nearby so they move all the material at once instead of one at a time as each new layer of ladder becomes reachable.

Tutorial: select a dupe from the vitals menu click the config tab. Manage all of your boosters from their and you can stop being confused every time you want to manage boosters. You acknowledged this a few videos ago and have yet to actually do it. That makes me feel bad.😢

Every time you build using materials that are two screens away made me want to scream. Man, your dupes are spending more time taking the material to build stairs than actually building them. Use the materials that are close to the site.

Haven't watched the entire episode yet but does crown molding count as art for a room bonus? I remember a while back, using it as a cheap/easy way in relation to some sort of room requirement or moral bonus, though my memory is awful, lol.
