Which in the real world would hardly matter, but if a wizard trying to rob the bank is smart enough to bring food and drink with them, they could probably survive for those 10 years by duplicating their food and drink. Probably go insane in that time but they could still survive. Then again they could also possibly survive the 100 years too. Just look at Dumbledore. When he died he was 115, and it was only because he was first cursed by a ring, then weakened by a potion, and finally pushed out of a tower by the force of Snape's killing curse. But as all three of those factors can be traced ultimately back to Voldemort, then if he didn't exist. Dumbledore would've probably lived quite a while longer considering how spry he was just the year before.

The dragon in Gringotts is my most hated part in HP. They stripped all the scales off a dragon while it was still young, raised it to hate and attack any people on sight unless they blasted it with magic (which without its scales it is unable to brush off), and kept it starving only feeding it about once a day with a heavy rusting 6 inch-thick steel collar around its neck which was heavy enough to keep it grounded and barely able to even lift its neck, causing a deformity in the neck. They even stripped most of the leather from its wings so it couldn't fly. And the Ministry of Magic approved that crap despite having magical animal cruelty laws

@@creeper326. Like in the movie, Hermione couldn't stand by and let it suffer like that. So her, Harry, and Ron set it free and rode it out of the bank. I don't remember completely but I don't think it ever shows back up in the books so I hope it got away to safety. Not sure if it could survive in the wild, though, after what it endured.

@@creeper326. They are tough, but he doesn't have any scales, has tattered wings, and is pretty much anorexic from how little he's eaten. Luckily it wasn't winter so he won't die of hypothermia but I feel like he could be prey to things like wolf packs without his natural defenses and barely any muscle. He was able to breathe fire, so that's about his only natural weapon he can really defend himself with.

@@DarkSpyro29 I’m sure he’ll be fine somehow. For a wolf pack to be able to take him down, they’re going to need to be quite numerous and ready to face a wall of flames. This could also help the dragon, however, as for each failed wolf hunt, the dragon could have more to eat, and if the dragon finds a suitable home somewhere in a cave or clearing, the surrounding environment would see decreases in larger animals, leading to more plant growth and will in turn attract more animals. He can breath fire when he’s cold so if he finds a shelter that can hold hear like a cave, hypothermia shouldn’t be an issue. He seems to still have teeth and claws, so up close he shouldn’t be defenseless either. The lack of scales and tattered wings are certainly going to be an issue, but seeing as he can still fly (even if not for long and take off takes time) and breath fire, I’d say he has good chances of living. He just need to find a suitable place to stay and make it through the first few weeks and he’ll be fine.
