Thanks for the video. I'm looking at getting one of these too. It's also possible to recharge the resin instead of buying new but it involves lye and muratic acid.

Try sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid.

How much does it cost to replace the resin? How do you change out the resin? And how long did thr first resin last you

ow many gallons do you have to run thru the system, after soaping with hard water, before you get back to zero dissolved solids when turning the valves back on for the tank? Running a few priming gallons thru everytime to get to zero dissolved solids seems a little waststeful, hopefully not too much has to pass thru, right ? Curious if you measured that too (or can and comment), tks.

I haven’t measured that, but I wouldn’t think it would be much more than a gallon. I’m not sure what the volume inside the Comet pressure washer hose is. It’s 65ft of 1/4” hose, I believe. Luckily, the valves are on the tank head, so at least there is not any hose to and from the tank.

How do I store this for winter time? Do I just drain it? thank you
@lioneljean41172 жыл бұрын
yeah, you drain it and bring it inside the house. If your garage is heated there is no need to bring it inside

Is there a water inlet & outlet?

When I set mine up, there wasn’t an “IN” or “OUT” labeled on the valves. I ended up trying it both ways and having the water going in the left side worked better. That is the side that dumps straight into the resin. The right side has the long tube that goes down into the resin. I put labels on mine to help me remember each spring when I bring it out LOL.

"...I dont know if you cant see that..." Ok, so you continue anyway. You decided to make a video, you turned ON the camera, must likely will preview the video before loading it for people to watch. Just move a long showing what you got. If the camera is ON, we the viewers will see what you're ste showing. I hate when people say that when making a video, people say it, but don't do anything about if we see it or not. How about, "I dont know if you can hear me or not..." "I dont know if the camera is ON or not..." Just film behind the camera and no sound, how'bout that? Cool product, I might buy one, let us know how it hold up. You will have to get the tank recharged/cleaned, the resins will get over loaded with minerals which it will not deionized the water. Fyi.

R Me I bet you also hate it when people don’t review their post for spelling errors before sending? 🤷🏼♂️

Any updates on using the deionizer?
@562pitt25 жыл бұрын
How was it? Did it do a good deionize?
@leemoknows5 жыл бұрын
Pitt Yes, it does great. We have really hard water, but it looks like the media inside will last for the washing season here in Indiana.

Thanks for reply azurebluemach i got to check tds out here cali but definitely looking to buy one nice mach you got there tho

Pitt Thanks! 👍🏼👍🏼 My water was ~425ppm which seemed to be at the top of all the charts I looked at...a serious bummer LOL. The deionizer media lasts a lot longer with lower levels as I’m sure you expected. Hopefully, your location has lower levels. The system is definitely worth the cost if your levels are below 250ppm.
