Great visual Ernest on the grips while firing! Ten seconds replaces 10 minutes of dialouge with someone just learning.

Every time I watch one of your videos and put it into practice, I become a better shooter. I’ve learned more from your videos than actual classes. Thank you .

I know what you are saying. I've known it for sometime. But I still want to hear you say it. Fundamentals are so important, that every time I see/hear them presented, there is always some tidbit that reinforces my knowledge base. So well done. Thanks.

Love the comparison of the grip positions. Could me the most important thing I got from training with Ernest, that and using a shot timer.

Decent brief coverage of the basics. I'd like to see more mention of the hazards of improper grip like slide bite though.

Loved this video. Can you add more with full, compact, and sub compact pistols using a shooter with large hands plus a shooter with small hands?

I have a question for you Ernest. I own a full size PX4 Inox and I absolutely love the gun, but I have noticed that when I hold the trigger to the rear and rack the slide when dry firing, that I sometimes get 2 different resets. When the safety plunger stays up the gun will have an extremely short reset and is at the wall for another crisp break. When it doesn’t stay up, it is a bit longer with a bit of take up before hitting the wall for that crisp break again. What causes this?
@ernestlangdon30754 жыл бұрын
It sounds normal if you release the trigger really slowly, you may be able to make that happen.
@mick_19764 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t matter how fast or slow the trigger is released, it is a peculiar thing. Thanks for the reply though.

Any idea on how to reduce thumb pain? I have pain at joint connecting it to the hand. I do get a super high grip on my gun and just feels like I shot way to rounds through my subcompact in a few weeks to really aggervate the issue now I can't get rid of it

Right hand, left dominant eye. My strong hand grip isn’t actually in line.
@ernestlangdon30754 жыл бұрын
That is not that uncommon. Stay neutral in your stance and put the gun in front of your dominant eye. It's not that much further over. Carrytrainer shoots like that and you cannot even tell he is shooting with his left eye unless you know exactly what you are looking for.

Ernest Langdon Yep, it’s kind of like built-in “cast on” on a left handed shotgun, only in my grip. Subtle, but, there.

What the heck do you know about grip and recoil control? Just joking just finished my 92a1 from stock to not 2 part review and mods you should do video uploading now. Ur 13# polished Hammer Spring REALLY makes a huge difference! Trade Ur Gun-Fu for my Combatives/Catchjitsu/Street Jiujitsu knowledge at a seminar someday???
