Great video. I would add dead hangs for time. Try to increase your hang time, especially as you get closer to your race. Monkey bars at the playground too. Or build your own. Go back and forth until your hands/arms give out.

Captains of Crush is not a company... That is what IRON MIND calls their gripper line up. Also in the short clip you showed of using the gripper you didn't do a single rep. The handles need to touch each other.

Great video, thank you for this. Brilliant assessment of how to approach those grip obstacles. Something I have found to be extremely helpful on OCR's is getting 20' of small nylon rope and cutting it into short strands to make a Cat-o-nine tails with them. Create a loop by wrapping the upper section with electrical or gorilla tape that you can use to slide over pull-up bars for a tougher pull-up or dip bars for reverse rows. Because they move and are somewhat slippery really gives your hands a workout. Try to time yourself doing vertical dead hangs using them and your grip "endurance" will "strengthen" fast. Also, find a soccer goal at your local park or sports field, (this only works if the cross beam is square) and start at one end moving sideways to the opposite end using only your fingertips to hold you there (most of these you have little choice to do otherwise) when you get to one end try to go back the way you came, do this as many times as possible. You can use the same goal post to do burpee finger pull-ups too. do burpees but when you jump up latch onto the bar with your fingertips and pull yourself up, repeat that as many times as you can.

My primary method this last year has been doing dead hangs from various pullup bars and sometimes a climbing finger board.

Dude you do realize your forearms are your fingers muscles right? There are no muscles in your fingers. Only tendons. Yes finger strength is forearm strength
@coopertaft5542
@coopertaft5542 3 жыл бұрын
Tendons can be trained to be strong as well. Not at the same rate as muscles can, be they can be overloaded just like any other exercise

@@NoFate247The thumbnails at a glance looked a glitzier and more throwaway than I'd have expected - Pre workout Blaster Drink! Yeah, there isn't any click bait. If you watch the videos, the thumbnail and title and even description are all aligned with what the video is about. Screech dead is a video about not saving it for the trip back, the over-riding theme to my channel. So watch the videos and you'll see they aren't click bait
