I was excited to watch Netflix's new series, Griselda, as a fan of crime dramas. However, I was disappointed as it didn't meet my expectations. The storyline lacked depth and character development, making it hard to stay engaged. The pacing felt off. It did not need to be 6 episodes.
Sofia Vergara's performance was commendable, other characters felt one-dimensional, and the dialogue lacked authenticity. The production quality, including rushed cinematography and a lackluster soundtrack, also fell short.
Griselda had the potential to be a gripping addition to Netflix, but it didn't deliver. It had some compelling storytelling and, at times, not-so-honest storytelling. It might appeal to casual crime drama fans, but it unfortunately falls flat for me.
