As I was listening I had a great gristlegore idea. In abbreviation its the Targaryen story with a different ending. A family takes power, using their dragon mounts to forge a kingdom. Over time and subsequent generations, these mounts get smaller and weaker, and the kingdoms' enemies take notice. When in dire need a 'druid'(ghoul king) shows up and says he can nurse the sickly dragons back to their former glory. Soon enough, the family is back on top. The kingdom is thriving and pushing back on their surrounding enemies.

I would like to see Gristlegore more as people who used to be caretakers of the animals of Ghur. Misguided maybe, but they saw the beasts of the realm as sacred. They lived in relative harmony as a part of the ecosystem and biosphere. However when Chaos invaded they failed at protecting many of the animals who died to daemons and Chaos worshippers. So when they themselves fell under the flesheater curse, they rose up the bones and souls of the dead monsters as "pets" or "companions", not knowing now that the daemons and evil they slayed with their new monstrous allies where the very creatures they had once honoured.

Well... I've gotta change my lore because that was my blisterskin lore. I guess the followers go out into the sun and you get less sunlight as you rank up. So the serfs maintain a healthier fleshtone, but the higher the ranks the more pallid you get. With the highest of the order spending great deals of time shut away by candle light reading the sacred texts, which are mere scribbles and sprawlings indecipherable to you or I.

15:59 i just want a merry band of young nobles roaming the land adventuring and hunting monsters before their dads calls them to inherit their kingdoms, but in reallity are just the survivors of a regional calamity denying how they canibalized their state before going down the vampire rout.

I'd theorize or headcanon for Gristlegore is the Aberrant comes in, to the nobles they look like a majestic nature spirit like Pan or something like that and blesses animals of ghur with sorta shamanistic vigor when in reality it is reanimating the dead ones and feeding the scavengers with its blood such as bats which turns them into terrorgheists whost reanimating long buried dracolith bones after Kragnos slew most of them.

Thanks to you talking about the lore of this facction, i got the book and motivated myself to read all the content on it and convert all their units and spells into D&D for fun. And im almost finished ^ ^. Idk if you play dnd, but if you do, i woud gladly hive the conversions for you to trow at your players or to use the new spells on your next character.

Gristlegore: nomadic kingdom of monster breeders lost control of their dragons and bats, which went on a feeding frenzy eating their entire kingdom and their livestock. The remaining nobles started sacrificing themselves by poisoning their bodies and purposefully getting eaten to stop the monsters. By the time the first Flesh Eater courts expanded into the region, there were only a few maddened nobles left to tell the tale of their kingdom of flesh and bone. Bonus: Terrorgheist should have been able to transport a unit of 10 serfs.

The Gristlegore sound like they have an identity crisis. First of all the name. When I think of girstle I immediately think of food, and specifically cooking and how the leftover “inedible” fat and bones can be rendered down into broth, gravy, marrow steaks and different bases for meals - so tying them more somehow to cooking would be cool. It might also make a bit more sense if they made it more obvious that the undead lords themselves who respected carnivorous flora and mega fauna in life now *were* those beasts in undeath, sort of like a permanent necromantic druid shift. Then you could deal with the mental interplay between being a former bipedal (?) mortal and now being a large, proud, noble beast (who doesn’t know they’re a terrorgheist etc.) You could have them talk like the Al’fiq cats from Elder Scrolls or Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Sentient talking animals trope is always cool. The competing alpha predators thing kind of seems to shatter the “shared and consistent delusion” thing though, idk. I’d imagine both vampires see each other as bad somehow and themselves as noble, but you might could square it if you say their human side loses itself to the beast - werewolfesque. Unworthy Blisterkin was great btw

I’m doing a Blisterskin court but rather than the religious stuff I’m doing it as like a corrupted Batman/ Gotham theme, but I’m thinking of including the everwinter some how.

Imagine playing a Blisterskin/Gristlsgore Court that in life/mortality in Azyr worshiped Dracothian as a god because you know the heavens and light and in turn revered Dragons as his children and in the age of chaos all of their dragons got slaughtered and when they themselves were turned they raised resurrected said dragons and now in their delusion do the same with resulting Zombie Dragons and if I didn't have memory problems and actually got a proper Highschool education and so in turn could actually play AoS I'd do just that and when said issues eventually get resolved I will do wonder of I can use Blisterskin models with Gristlsgore rules though🤔

I came here wishing to say I was looking forward to seeing the next Dawnbringer video but now having watched this vid fully I unfortunately feel that now I gotta say something… the crackers and grape juice comment was completely unnecessary bro and many folks would find it offensive…I get you may not believe it’s a sacred thing but many people do believe they are.

It’s not disrespectful to observe that different religions observe their traditions differently. Some believe it’s a symbolic ceremony, others believe in the transubstantiation. The point was how a single idea (sacraments) could be lived out in different ways.

That said, I shared this with multiple content creators and my discord to ask for feedback, a group of varying religions/faiths. Everyone seems to give the thumbs up. Regardless, I don’t talk about religion much on the channel, unless asked on stream. So hopefully your long terms viewing isn’t ruined
