He was always one of my favorite characters ( Story wise AND game wise) ...he was always chill about everything.... AW1 : Sees a Sentient robot clearly not from their world-chill AW2: Sees the Sentient robot come again with CO and almost win and at the final campaign almost killed everyone-chill AW3: Sees someone use Olaf 'clone and someone in an advanced life support chair sucking the life force out of their world-chill This guy is amazing

@@Nehfarius a trench periscope is a periscope with mirrored panes to reflect the vision upwards and over a trench without getting sniped in the head. It's hard to explain look it up

@@Nehfarius The Bundeswehr has machine gun tripods with periscopes on them, actually. I can't imagine they're quite super duper useful in a large scale conflict situation where it's be possible for other forces to maneuver around the position, but they're pretty neat for providing fire from behind cover since the operator doesn't need to bring his head up to use the irons.

@@Nehfarius the Trench Periscope was something developed by both Allied and Central Powers during WWI, as the Western Front had devolved into a stalemate and trench warfare became the thing the risk of enemy soldiers was a real threat if looking at the front, so boxy periscopes were set up at all trenches, it hasn’t seen much use since the stalemate was broken

Grit Artillery: One of the best units in the entire damn game, especially in cost-efficiency. Grit Rockets: Scary unless you can wreck them. Can also trade with Battleships. Grit Missiles: Actually useful. Probably why they buffed missiles to 3~6 in DoR. Grit Battleships: Yeah sorry let me just completely zone out other Naval units. Grit Carriers: Hey guys, I got air superiority on account of the enemy not having any aircraft left! Like seriously, when he uses his SCOP his carriers get a range of 3~10! That's so large it can't actually all _fit_ on a design map!

Real talk though, after finding artillery incredibly useful in the tutorial maps i was terrified I had to face this guy and his buffed ranged units so early on.

Gonna be the odd one out here and say I like his other hat too. It makes him feel less cowboy and more military. Less “cowboy in command” and more “co you find with his feet up on his desk and his hat over his eyes”.

@@ladnie9454 It was said that General Ulysses S. Grant wore a Private's overcoat with General's insignia during the Civil War. He wasn't being modest, he was scared to death of snipers. Grit's service cap probably has the same effect at distance. Don't know he's the CO until half your forces drop dead from long range artillery.

His original name was Billy? Interesting...now I know why he was named Kid in the German (and maybe in other countries, too) version of the game...very funny and creative, translator xD Grit and Max were a very good combo in DS...the only way to have fun with the nerfed Max in the game :(

I'll try this :D I like Grit and Eagle, too, because Grit is very weak as it comes to air combat and you cannot properly use your Missiles (because they are *slooooow*). And when it comes to tag powers...well, almost every tag power is far away from balanced, so who cares xD But I guess I still prefer COs like Jess, Grimm Max instead of Grit...the weak meelee attack is already enough to make me cry whenever I have to use a tank...I just cannot use units properly when I know they are worse than normal...and I like to use my TANKS! ^^

always loved swarming a few T Copters with infantry inside(or an APC if airports aren't available), nearby but not too close with the eagle/sami tag power and just flying across the map and capping the HQ in one turn.

Sami + Grit actually works pretty well as they are basically using the same units with one being specialized in one half of those units. Also, Sami pretty much covers up Grits offensive weakness with her freaking Instawin March.

UFF Somehow hearing this back reminds me on the subject of yoshigake because normally for a villain of jojos you would expect an intense rhythm or a cumbion in the case of Kars or well Kono Dio da xD, but maybe that unexpected moment when you give yourself Realize that at first you see that the subject is very calm and "peaceful" which a few seconds later you realize that it is completely the opposite. In my opinion, that's where that peculiar charm that these 2 themes have in common is :D PDS: Yes, I just compared Grit with Yoshigake Kira a assasin with a hand fettish xD

Javier's the knight-like one, added to Green Earth's forces in DS. He's the one that gets extra defense against indirects and when controlling Comm Towers. With two Comm Towers, his SCO power is on par with Kanbei's in terms of making his units indestructible.
