correction, mana tithe is the best counter in the format, because it counters channel when you're on the draw, and more importantly makes your opponent scoop up, because nobody can stand the feeling

My all-access no-banlist deck is hot garbage that is basically just cramming a bunch of broken banned cards together with very little actual synergy. 4x Ragavan, 4x Uro, 4x Teferi Time Raveler, 4x Oko, 4x 4-color Omnath, 4x Winota, 4x Demonic Tutor, 4x Agent of Treachery (which by the way is the only thing Winota can hit, besides herself, in this deck), 4x Ephemerate, 4x Orcish Bowmasters, 4x The One Ring, 4x Oracle of the Alpha, 4x Assemble the Team, and 4x Key to the Archive. And 1x Yorion in the command zone because yes, I made a 100 card 5 color pile of broken and banned cards which is only barely functional and is really only 4 colors but splashes Black for Demonic Tutor, Assemble the Team, and Orcish Bowmasters. It is a very chaotic pile. One accidental synergy I discovered though is using Oko to Elk your own Orc Army so that if your opponent then tries to draw more cards you get an additional orc army because the first one is now a buffed elk. Plus it beat a Channel player by transforming their Ulamog into an Elk, which feels really good all things considered. Also, Oracle of the Alpha so I can tutor up the power 9 on top of all the other broken things I'm doing, because why not?

Might I recommend dark ritual, counterspell, and/or chaos warp. Ritual helps burst something out and still gives you black mana to use for your splash. Counterspell is obviously just very good, or alternatively if you're running enough white Dovan's veto. Chaos warp most often turns elradzi into lands. Oko is truly busted. Both for the reasons you mentioned but another thing I've seen and done myself a few times is Elking the one ring, including your own if you need to save some time. But you can then also Yorion it back into a ring without the counters iirc. Half the decks I've put together are some form of 80+ card 4-5 color piles of broken cards and just trying to make it work. Also mana base; shock lands are obviously good. Mana confluence can get a bit painful over time but it makes playing out relatively on curve so much easier.

The channel decks typically run Ulamog, so you don't want them to get the cast trigger and exile two permanents
