Grizzly dust collection install- part 1- unbox & install with canister

You're gonna love it! Definitely get the bigger Super Dust Deputy to go with it. I've got both the Harbor Freight 1hp DC and a Grizzly 1hp DC and both have a Super Dust Deputy. I don't hardly get anything in the plastic bags at all. You'll like the 4" hose a lot better than 2.5". I just recently added the canister filters to my DC's and noticed a nice difference in the amount of suck they have, no scientific results, but I did the "cheek test" and felt a whole lot more power.

Hopefully it will be a great addition to the shop. Unfortunately I just installed all the 2” pipe and most or all will have to be replaced with 4” but looking forward to getting it all up and running. Thanks for watching

Good choice on upgrading 4 inch hose

I think A better setup for the filter is the side feed ones so gravity helps drop the wood without air blowing directly into the bag of debris, it generates a cyclone 🌀 and air vents out the top through the filter; less filter cleaning. Exactly, This video was part one in a series. There is a cyclone on the system before the filter that works great. Only fine particles make it past the filter

I’m not bragging yet. We will see how it performs when it’s all connected. But if it’s not a good deal at least you didn’t buy it. Lol. I SHOULD NOT HAVE BRAGGED ON MY SHOP VAC but she’s been a good one

I’ve actually got rid of it. I personally would not recommend it. It’s going to be replaced with a 2hp collector. It just wasn’t strong enough

Looks like this will be a work in progress. Lol. But at the end of it all I will review and we will see how it does
