Nice informative video. Just ordered some of the gray stackable bins… look forward to receiving them. Have some old cans and containers with nails and screws to clean up and get more organized with. Might I suggest putting a couple of J hooks into the plywood board just above your top row of bins and hang a small lightweight tarp through the eyelets… you can get these at the dollar store or elsewhere, to use when you are sanding or sawing to mitigate the dust from settling into the bins.💡☝️😅Also, just received the small 20 bin container for storage of quick connects, gaskets and hose fittings for pressure-washer & garden hose attachments… you’ll be happy to know that the label is affixed to the plastic now.😎

Thanks for the update and new idea for the double bowl. I’ve made the jig but took a lot more trial and error to get the height adjusted for the riser. Just about to make my first one. Wish me luck.

Very useful review. I'm in the market for a 23g brad nailer. I already own a 16g and 18g nailer - cordless and air - but have yet to buy the 23g. I agree with the assessment of the combi brad/staple unit. Mine is 18v cordless, but leaves a bit of a bullet hole regardless of the setting. I won't be using it every day, but don't want to have to buy twice, so was actually considering the Makita, as it fires pins between 12mm and 35, or, in old money, half inch up to almost one and a half.

So far, this is one of the best how to explanations for creating Shop-Vac "fittin's" out of PVC. I just started doing this and discovered something that you may have answered here. When creating PVC fittings, you should probably use at least a 5" (possibly 6") piece of PVC. I think the heat will warp the other end if it's any shorter than this. I created one that's probably 4", and the Shop-Vac hose fit in it perfectly, but after I heated the other end of the fitting to shrink it so it would fit inside of the receiving end, it seems the first end must have enlarged some during the heating process, because now my shop vac hose falls out of it. I put a few wraps of electrical tape and that seems to be holding. Anyway, Liked and Subscribed. Will look for more from you. Thanks. Edit: PS, I really like the idea of running a pipe down to the floor so you can just sweep whatever ends up down there into the clean up area.

i'm no stickler but if someone were to do this sloppily or mess up their blade height with anything decently tough, aren't ya just kinda asking for that piece to cam into the blade? clean as hell result, but feel like i wouldn't wanna do this on the tablesaw

Been thinking about a very similar idea. Watching this I think I'll take my thoughts to the design stage. I'd like to incorporate a miter/planer flip top into a bench. I would need to be able to slide the tools out a bit when rotating or clearance. I can build a bench that is much less deep that way. I was thinking of letting it roll on casters to support most of the weight and let the slides guide the cart in and out.

Good luck it’s a great idea for a small shop. Casters are a great idea also that’s probably extended the life of my drawer slides

HF cases are not high quality, but if you need to hold parts, they will do it. You have to balance this. "Buy cheap, get cheap". You can't store really small parts if you plan to carry the box around by the handle. The covers don't fit well enough to contain them. To remove the labels, soak them with mineral spirits for a few minutes. You can then peel them off in one piece. But don't soak them too long, or you'll get a gooey mess.

What would be the method of making a wider bowl? What size blade? Would you have to move the jig to make multiple passes? How far? Which way?
@Jordanwoodworking
@Jordanwoodworking 3 ай бұрын
I currently use a 7.5 blade but I have used a 10” blade to make a wider bowl and you would widen the jig to accommodate the blank. No matter the size bowl you always center the blank to the blade. The process of cutting it out is the same
