We take amazing trails through the desert to reach an Oasis where we spend 4 days camping, cooking and swimming in this unique location.
Then it's off again to a little paradise and the stunning Carawine Gorge before visiting Australia's hottest town, Marble Bar.
In Marble Bar we meet 3 girls with an inspiring story that they share with us.

Growing up in London as a kid I would watch Les Higgins driving around the Aus Bush. Watching that made me move to Oz and go to the remote locations. you drove trough wather, this tends to push the blocks a bit further out than normal. Then it sits prone for sand or stoned to get in between disk and pad. Usually i reverse and brake hard to get it out. However keep the camper in mind ;) you might find a mess....

Great video, well done. It's a real paradigm for this Canuck to think of water being warm. Streams, rivers and lakes in Canada only make me think of freezing cold, to have a water hole where the water may be too warm, incredible!

Love the river camping at Nullagine. I spent 6 months working in a gold mine there called the B 18:28 lue Speck in the mid 70s, went swimming in that river many times, great memories.

You can get a rock caught between the disc and the caliper. It will eventually get ground down and and dislodge itself. Usually with no damage. Great video and some fantastic locations. I am an ex West Australian and would love to get back to some of those Pilbarra spots over the next few years.

Great video guys. Was lucky enough to call Carawine and Running Waters home for many years as our family owned Warrawagine Station. Definitely a lot more hidden spots along the Oakover, Nullagine and Degray Rivers. Keep up the fantastic videos 🙌🏼

Oi! From Germany. Just getting ready to run to work. The places you found look great to hang out. BTW my GR20 adventure Last month went perfect. We started in Calenzana southbound and we found the trail in a very quiet, almost deserted state. Just a hand full of fellow hikers used the opportunity to hike a perfect weather window in a beautiful off-season. With refugees not in service but still open for hikers we used the opportunity once in a while but also slept in our tent. I could not imagine to hike this trail in the summer season as there are too many hikers coasting around but I‘ve fallen in love with Corsica and will come back for more. Presumably next year in October when the trail becomes a fair bit more private. BTW, with an appropriate sleeping bag you could easily leave your tent at home, as a number of french dudes proved to be sufficient. But, mine had a comfort rate of 8 degrees C , so, no thanks. Cheers guys

G'day Leigh and Steph, pleased to see you enjoyed your little wander through the Pilbara, I can only agree with you in saying how magnificent certain parts of the remoter inland Pilbara actually can be. I ventured into the region a little over thirty years ago, the Oakover River (Upper Carawine and Carawine Gorge) the Davis River (Running Waters) and the Rudall River ~ Rooney Creek and the Desert Queen Baths were all truly remote and not as accessible as they are these days, I am not trying to diminish the fact that every place you have visited and shown in this Pilbara series is in fact remote, but with todays technology in Satellite/GPS mapping and communications and of course better modes of transport, be they a today version high tech four wheel drive or a well maintained non technology yet more than capable Land Rover Defender such as yours. Your Rover simply brings back very fond memories as my initial inland Pilbara venturing was all done with my Land Rover 109 series Safari Wagon, it had a 3.5 litre V8 petrol engine, which guzzled fuel like a drunken miner guzzles cold beer, it's only downfall back then was on one outside of any major population base carried even the most basic spares or service parts, so you needed to be utterly self sufficient in every respect. The power of the internet, KZbin and videos such as your channel have genuinely opened the door to adventure and possibly plant seeds of adventure in the minds of folk who honestly just didn't know these magnificent places actually exist, your journeys throughout the countries you have visited, the open honesty of ordinary folk across the World who simply smiled and said hello in what ever way they communicated with you, certainly changed my appreciation of humanity, for that I thank you. Now for a little useless information on the Hickman Crater, I was the 6th modern day person to stand on the rim of the crater after Dr Hickman had revealed it's origins and location, the crater has no Indigenous mythology as of today. I am the silly bugger who planted the post/visitor log book letter box, I try to rescue the log book at least once a year, sending it to Dr Hickman just so he can see who has been to and seen his crater, I also planted the signs leading to the crater, sadly many of the signs have been taken for reasons unknown, my wife and I plotted/documented and marked every Pebble Mouse Mound with a shiny marker stake you may have been curious about as you drove past on you way into the crater, sadly the crater as the Pebble Mouse Mounds won't survive the relentless push for resources that is currently powering Australia's economy. Should you ever come back to this ancient land and should you be curious enough to track me down, I would be chuffed to show you places and waterholes yet to be discovered by the World.
