Thanks for going through the catalogues & discussing strategy. Re the $10 boxed meat meal - as a single person I find if I pick some varieties of these I get 4 serves with a vegie side. I enjoy the convenience

Yep exactly I’m not saying you can’t have anything just be aware of the prices and for many people variety and easy of cooking is very important compared with saving a little $ so you always have to do what works for you !

My junk mail is a bit hit and miss...comes some weeks and not others. Never receive Coles and Woolies anymore though. I always get a printed copy of the catalogue before entering Coles and Woolies, even though I have seen emails. Yes, you do need to know your unit cost to make sure you are getting a good deal. Many thanks for sharing.

I miss the 50c soft drink can days. Although given it’s an occasional drink it’s probably good that it’s pricey haha Something I have noticed is that sometimes things are on special at one place eg. Woolies but it’s actually the regular price at Coles. The apps have been useful to help me compare easily.

Have you tried the Aldi dish tabs? It's our preferred over Finish and is only 14 a tab compared to 19c for the Finish.

I haven't yet I do want to as well as the Woolies but I get a deal - I get a $25 birthday voucher from Cheap as Chips for a $50 spend so I go and get 4 boxes (110 tabs) = $19 x 4 = $76 - $25 = $51 / 440 = 11c tablet . Then this lasts me all year ...

I learnt something from an American KZbinr regarding specials in the Aldi catalogue. The specials are in red or yellow boxes/prices and regular prices are in white or black.
