That's not bad. I'm watching from Louisiana and our grocery here runs about the same. The whole wheat bread was a little high, but due to the style and quality you choose not really. I've paid more for eggs here. Yours were $6.99 for cage free organic. Here those will run $5.99. But for the Vital egg brands I'll pay 10.99 for an 18 count brown farm eggs. The salmon in your video was very high, by almost $10 more than I would have been charged in Louisiana. The spinach I saw was $.050 higher. Starbucks is the same here in price. And tonight Nov 28, 2023 I made an late errand run and picked up spicy chicken lomein at a local restaurant. Its a classic little place... but the total was $11.30 for one. So over all I'd say the prices look pretty much the same regardless if you're in N.Y. or Louisiana. Oh milk here is $3.49 for the cheaper store brand. And $8.49 for fair life, or horizon brand. I only buy the Horizon. Better quality, fuller body, doesn't expire as fast.

Yay! Food and the cost of food -- our two favorite things 😁Yup, as we kinda expected... things are more expensive there! Loved seeing the running total. We're in the South so we're definitely saving a few bucks. But that being said, you get to eat NYC restaurant food, and that's basically the food capital of the world. So that part is totally worth the expense in our book. You only live once, right 😁 But what's with the shopping list on PAPER?? 😂 Also, do you shop at TJ's? That's our favorite store on earth...

thanks for the video i so glad see the truth or see smart people( because for some reason my cousin spending 62 to dollars per week in NYC) I'm ask for my self how he do that. I maybe going to NYC in 2024 for doing college and I will need save money and this stuffs glad to see that video and learn how to do that. and i have one question how much do you spend at costco ? the same price do you spend and h-mart?
@oishari2 жыл бұрын
Hello! Costco is the cheapest but they sell in bulk and big sizes. So we prioritize non-food supplies at Costco like tissue paper, laundry detergent, dishwashing etc. We stock up on those so we don’t have to keep buying them. You can also get big sizes of meat at Costco for less (if you have space in the refrigerator. ) So when we do groceries every 2 weeks, we only worry about food. Depending on where you stay, the nearest local grocery store to you might be cheaper or similar price to Hmart/Target. Trader Joes is actually not so expensive too. (Whole Foods has the expensive stuff I think.)

Really nice video but not realistic. I live in Manhattan and most of us Do Not have cars. Add fuel and tolls to your total. I have to stay within the city walk or take transit and carry my food home. I agree with what you said about Dollar Tree but there is only 1 in all of Manhattan. So going there is not practical for most. This being said could you have gotten the same products at the H-mart here in Manhattan and spent the same?

America its so rich so food should be much cheaper, at least UK level. HOW 2 onions can cost 2,50$ ?? HOW and WHY 3potatos can cost 3.51$ ?
