Being chronically ill there are so very many things i miss doing. On is just making dinner or a quick special snack for my husband or boys still at home. Something so at its core simple. That i miss most. Sure not being to go out and have fun or traveling. Doing husband and wife things, all the little things that being a couple are, not just the big ones. Its the simplest things. The just everyday things that you do that may seem boring but when you can't do them anymore become the most exciting when you have a minute or a few minutes that you have the energy or physical ability to do them. Ya i know...same preaching about its the little thing you miss most. But it really is.

I love this Miffy bag with the elastic that closes it. In the United States there are not often bags that close like this and I am struggling to close the bags into a small square shapre. We do have a few at the supermarket with a plastic piece on a string that your pull to reduce the size. But this is a cute bag. I also love that pickle jar. So cute. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I enjoy watching.

Recently I noticed that my small-town grocery store has a small stock of Pocky and Jagarico. I've had Pocky many times, but I decided to try Jagarico (that's how it's spelled on the package here). Delicious and addictive! So crunchy and so potatoey! Thanks, Linna, for introducing these kinds of things to me!

You might want to try making an ice cream soda for the boys really simple any type of soda and a scoop of ice cream together becomes a real fizz! I usually have vanilla soda with vanilla ice cream!!😊

I love using the cracker you got the prawn flavour in as croutons on salad. It's an easy flavour and texture to add. Love the pickling jar😍😍 I got a recipe to make fukujin zuke; that would look so great in a jar like that. My favourite side dish (or main dish if you add meat) with eggplants is stir fried with miso. It also freezes really well, so always double or even triple the recipe to have extras you just nee dto heat up in th emicrowave. So handy for busy days. I think these with meat in between adn teriyaki sauce will freeze well too. I remeber that you tried making freezer meals some weeks (or was it moths?) back; this could be added to that with portions of rice. Just add salad and soup and your done 😊 Seeing you make the parfait for your boys, I remember I have 2 different ice cream in the freezer. i should use them this weekend.

Hi Linna! Those parfaits looked absolutely yummy, I will have to try making them sometime. I have never had eggplant, but it looks good. Perhaps when I go shopping next I will pick one up and try it. It also makes me happy that your boys love books; it is so important for kids to love reading. My teaching job is going well, and I passed my first class with an almost top score (I was 20 points away from a perfect A), so I am very happy. I had ice cream to celebrate. I am starting my new class now, and I hope to do well in this one too. I can't believe it is already spring! It is nice to hear the birds singing again. Although, where I live, spring brings strong storms and tornadoes, so it can be a scary time too.
