I've used strawberries, oranges, apples, lemons, limes & blueberries...but, my favorite is the oranges & the strawberries for my tea, when I drink fruit tea. The blueberries are very difficult to taste in the hot tea, as they don't have a strong enough flavor for me. Usually when I make my fruit tea, I don't mix any of the flavors anymore, except the lemon & lime sometimes.☕ The peach blossom branches look so pretty in your new grey vase, Linna...so beautiful on your table. The flower fish cakes are so pretty to celebrate with. Such a clever use of part of the milk carton...you are so inventive & creative in your cooking, Linna...I love it all!♥

Hello Linna! I apologize for not commenting for so long, I was released from the hospital but I was very weak. I am feeling much better now though, and I am going back to work tomorrow (only a half day, to see how I do). The yogurt and fruit tea looked so yummy! I enjoy a nice glass of peach tea a lot, I like teas that are sweet and fruity. It always interests me how much noise there is in a Japanese grocery store; here in America, it is actually not as loud (maybe because we have very large shopping centers and the sound doesn't travel well). It is not a complaint, just an observation! Either way, thank you for your wonderful video, as always!

Hi Linna, That shop with all the kitchen stuff looks amazing! I think I would spend a lot of money there. 😅 I saw you pick up a jar for honey. Here in the Netherlands, especially older people use it for kristallised sugar. They can pour out right into their coffee or tea. I really like the idea that you learn the boys all the festive days in Japan. It will help them in the future. I'm curious: do they never talk when you are eating? Here in the Netherlands we talk a lot during our meals. And we don't use special table ware to put our fork and knife on. They just lay on the table or on our plate. We're not that fancy. Love the hinamatsuri bunnies! they also have a bit of an Easter feel, which is coming up in 3 weeks. I think the square tray could be used for a big bowl of noodles. Love your haul. Really could have bought the same things 😅 Great idea straining the yogurt and mix it with jam! I'm going to try that sometimes. I have a tea I really like, ot's from the brand clipper and it's chamomille and peach. i think I'm going to make your fruit tea with this tea and peaches when thet're in season again. Such a fun idea with the rice! Your hina,atsuri dinner looks delicious! I dodn't do anything for hinamasturi as we were on a trip that weekend. I have the same with boys day; I ony have a daughter, but still bought a small carp to hang up. It was so cute with mint green and flowers.

Even though we don't have the holiday here, Happy Girls' Day. I also noted that you do get some pretty good prices. Around 150 yen to 1 usd, so easy to do conversions in my head right now. About 40 bucks per basic grocery trip for 4 people, that's not bad. I'm lucky to spend UNDER that for ONE person here in the States. But, of course, I only really have a couple of options right now. >.> Oh well.

Linna, when I was young I too always worried if something I wore was “age appropriate “. Now I think back and realize how silly it was. You have a lovely figure and can wear anything you want. Using your chicken meatball recipe idea, I made cheese stuffed 'logs' and put them on hotdog rolls for dinner 😁 They turned out lovely, even though I fried them not boiled them lol And I have enough leftover meat mix to make 8 big cheese stuffed meatballs as well!
