Early 70s Bowie like Aladdin Sane and Ziggy Stardust was really his best work. 76-79 Bowie was like 6 or 7 years behind what bands like this were doing and CAN,NEU!,and Amon Düül ii did it imo a lot better. That's not a slander on Bowie by any means or similar artists like Early Brian Eno,Cockney Rebel,Beebop Deluxe,or T.Rex because I enjoy all of those artists quite a bit,it is my honest opinion though. The only British Band who really got Krautrock right was Hawkwind to me and they really did do it justice.

Brings back memories of sitting in my bedroom in 70s Manchester listening to the late great John Peel's radio programme Top Gear.
