from "Soundtracks" (1970). The song (one of my favorites) had to be amputated to fit the 10 min youtube limit, sorry :/

@@machummonrum6483 - Unfortunately there were plenty of poor gigs. They could often be on auto-pilot. Karoli would turn up late consistantly. It's very difficult to make any judgement on the live shows, even when they exist in recordings. They over blasted the audiences. It was a real treat when they played softly. Holger was often the one to set a mood. Karoli was the composer of the stepwise theme in MOZZER SKY. He was probably the weakest member of the central 4. Malcolm & Damo were important 5th members.

The first CD was not remastered, but the timing of Mother Sky, I believe, was identical to the album (dubbing from the original master or tape). To be checked. "... ege bamyasi can (1972) can is probably the most widely known and often cited band identified with krautrock. groops like stereolab (at least their early catalog) and sonic youth are clearly followers of can’s signature motorik beats. the cover design of ege bamyasi is odd but charming. it features a giant can of okra. apparently, thurston moore purchased this album for 49-cents at woolworth’s simply because of the cover, not realizing just how much the music on the wax inside would change his life.

BUDUAM! I love to just being thrown right against the glass as to you catch your breath. The power that bristled and tore open so many holes in this old mans brain as a teenager to let in possibilities and fire have only ever been plugged again by time.

I love this Band, Saw them on British and German TV in the early days,I believe British and American Record Company's and Producers were a bit Snooty toward German and other European Progressive Bands in the early 70s, I have all their records and play them regularly,.

pauljones651 Thanks for the history. Can is incredible. So, I'm at work, this song starts, I can't leave my truck while it's playing. To put it mildly, this sounds like everything I have every liked, from any band. Cool, Hip, Groovy, Hipnotic. I my opinion, most (if not all) of those commercially successful bands from the '60s-'80s couldn't equal this. I would guess Hendricks picked up on Can.
