Grooming A Horse That's Shedding In Spring~ Using A Shedding Scraper On A Thick Horse Coat 💇🏻‍♀️🐴

Hey guys! In this video is Quarter horse Duchess, and she has a thick winter coat which has started to shed, so I used a metal shedding scraper to remove the loose hairs from her coat. It's satisfying to watch all the hairs come off! I think it feels good for Duchess to shed some hair because the temperatures throughout the days are getting warmer now that it is spring. Duchess is ready for spring break, party time! That winter coat was so thick, it took a very long time to brush it out. She really loved that soft brush on her face. And then there was that stickiness on her right hind and belly to get out. STA, her eyes kept moving to your brushing movement. Amazing how the sympathetic nervous system connects the whole body. TY for showcasing Duchess, as long time no see with this harsh winter.

😂yes she is on her way to spring break now. Thanks for your comments. I did get both of them. Not sure why it takes a while to load or something, but I do always see all the comments from my end. I sometimes need to filter “newest” comments first, and then that’s when I can see all the comments. Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed Duchess’s video, and there will be more to come, so we can see her transform into her thin summer coat😁

Oh yes. I was completely covered in horse hair yesterday at the barn😅lol! The Friesians here aren’t shedding as much as some of the Morgans it seems, and Duchess most of all. She has the thickest coat.
