Thank you Jakob! I was so excited when i saw the update and what it did. I have a hard time playing the app even on my 12.9" iPad in anything other than the 5 note scale. I know that i've always been able to connect a keyboard to play the notes, this just makes it that much more useful! This makes me envy the 49 & 61 versions for the sliders, it seems that this will make jamming in Groovebox so much easier. Plus they are great with updates so I'm sure they'll figure out some of the missing functions. Great job Ampify and Jakob for covering it so fast, I appreciate your take on features/apps/hardware!

I have a Launchkey 25MK2 that's been collecting dust for months, as I have a different controller and didn't use Ableton all that much. But with the Groovebox integration, I just pulled out the keyboard and will try to have a play soon. Thanks for the demo!

The Reloop KeyPad / KeyFader 25 key Midi Controllers both can have more Pads and Knobs (and faders in the KeyFader version) mapped to more midi events than Novations Launchkey 25 mk2. The pads are obviously not colour matched but if you have one of the Reloop controllers it might be worth checking out...

Nice update. I got the 25 and 61 mk1 keyboards so this will add some cool functionality. I do miss those nice colored buttons of the mk2 though. Still too bad there also isn't a full midi-learn feature to make sure all knobs get a function. But i guess we can't have always get what we want...😉

how are you supposed to arrange these tracks for finalizing your song? I can't find a video anywhere explaining how to use this app for finishing this song like there's tons of videos of people showing us how to play it yeah OK we know how to play on the thing, but how do you move this song off of this app to finish it or at least hear the entire song all the way through I'm very frustrated with this. Hi Jakob great channel ✌️👍 I have technical support question about the Mk3 I was thinking of buying I would also like to use it combination with the moog app running from my iPad Pro can I use it for that app as a lets say midikeyboard .... it has a pitch bend wheel etc on it so I was thinking I can use that I combination with the app ? How is it going Jakob? I'm having a problem with groovebox. I simply can't use it with my launchkey 25 (mk2) the same launchkey you have. It's kind of weird because it runs right with the launchpad app. I've an iPad 4gen. Can you help me out please?

No, there is no support for parameter automation. I'm hoping that Ampify adds it in the future.

Paul Chollet We need more data in order to debug your issue. Are you using an original Apple adapter or a third party adapter? Are you using the older Camera Connection Kit (CCK, Model: MC531ZM/A) or are you using a Lightning to USB3 adapter (Model: MK0W2ZM/A)? Also, what version of iOS are you running on the iPad Air and what model iPad Air is it?

Ok, I still want to know what version iOS you are running. iOS updates are know to break connections like these. Also remember the connection order. Always connect the usb device and the charger to the to the Lighting to USB3 adapter first. Then connect that adapter to the iPad. Also reboot the iPad too just to be sure.

Yes you can and the channel selection, mute function together with keyboard etc works the same way as it does with the iPad version. However Groovebox for iPhone works a bit different when it comes to sections. So these will not light up on the pads on the LaunchKEY but one can still switch between sections using the scene buttons.

Things I dislike , I Still can’t save my tweaked instruments to use in another project .. if you mistakenly click on another instrument preset you will loose the work you have done

Arturia Minilab MK2 - Some user have issue with jumpy knobs Akai MPK mini MK2 - Need a hub Launchkey Mini MK2 - no pitchbend and mod Launchkey 25 MK2 - not really portable and their site mentioned it is not meant to be powered by Ipad.. (eventhough you prove them wrong hehehe) Irig Keys I/O 25 - seems like the best option hehehe.. (but still quite large for my backpack) Coz i need to bring my Circuit, Macbook, Roland Go Mixer, DJI Osmo, bluetooth speaker, AKG headphones in it... so, kinda having a space issue) So.. what do u recommend?
