Good effort on pronunciation! Tip 1: most final consonants in French are silent except -f, -c, -l ( most of the time) and -r (except in the combination -er). Tip 2: the letter -e at the end of words is also silent so pretend it’s not there. I love David Whittaker’s orchestral arrangements in this song ❤️

I like more the french version than the english version because it's not truly the same "emotional fight". When it comes to deliver emotions, I do find (I may be wrong) that romance of feeling languages like French, italian or spanish are better than the "technical" english language which is a colder but more efficient and easier language. And curiously, I prefer the interpretation done by Michel sardou over the one of Claude François... don't misunderstand me, I love Claude François for most of his songs, just "Comme d'habitude" has been interpreted by many many singers and my preferrred is from Sardou, another great figure of the french "chanson".
