3:14 the method he said is final income method of calculating Gross Domestic Product.. There is another method called Value added method. In this the egg is bought by bakery shop for further production, and finally the output that is the cake gets ready. Now for the bakery shop, intermediate consumption is the price of egg, and value output is the price of cake. Henceforth, the value added by the baker is Value Output -Intermediate Consumption. So it can be said that in value added method the calculation of Gross Value added is made in each production phase.

Vry effective vdo lecture bt as a management professional In my opinion GDPis defined asthe market value of all final goods nd services produced in the Domestic economy during a period of one year, plus income earned locally by the foreigners minus incomes earned abroad by the nationals.The concept of GDP is smiliar to that of GNP with a significant procedural difference.In case of GNP the income earned by the nationals in foreign countries r added nd incomes earned locally by the foreigners r deducted from the market value of domestically produced goods nd services.In case of GDP the process is reverse --income earned locally by foreigners r added nd incomes earned abroad by the nationals r deducted from the total total value of domestically produced goods nd services.In other words to obtain real national income indirect taxes r deducted from the NNP.Thus NNP less indirect taxes=National income.Some accounting identities at market price in terms of national income as follows, GNP=GNI, GDP=GNP less net income from abroad, NNP=GNP less depreciation, NDP=NNP less net income from abroad.Some Accounting Identities at Factor Cost r GNP at factor cost=GNP at market price less net indirect taxes, NNP at factor cost=NNP at market price less net indirect taxes, NDP at factor cost=NNP at market price less net income from abroad, NDP at factor cost=NNP at market price less net indirect taxes nd NDP at factor cost=GDP at market price less Depreciation in nut shell in my views.Vry.effective nd Informative lecture.Thanx for useful lecture nd inspiring tips.👍
