Thanks for the content Ben, really helpful. I am a uni student completing the last semester of my bachelors degree. My final year project is actually on GPR's and these videos help a lot. Thanks once again.

@@GeelongCableLocations Hi Ben, still had no response from you. Is it maybe in spam? Thanks

@@CobraVipr no I didn't get any email from you. But that is ok, you don't need to worry about emailing me. I was just curious really on what degree's have GPR in them. But it's all good. Good luck and hope it goes well for you.

I ran the 400mhz on a gssi sir3000.....always found the pipe and on different surfaces....a road is better but why didnt it pick it up.... unless it was to shallow...
@GeelongCableLocations3 жыл бұрын
No pipes did not change depth. As you know yourself from using GPS's, radar all depends on soil conditions. Good soil you can see anything anywhere. Poor soil makes it a lot harder to see.

Hi, what is the difference between good soil and bad soil, also how much deep it can penetrate, I mean 3 meters 5 meters ?????
@GeelongCableLocations2 жыл бұрын
Depths depends on what the soil is like. Here in Geelong and most of Melbourne, I can generally get down a depth of a meter maybe a touch more if we are lucky. Whereas in Perth where the soil is like sand and not much clay, I have heard stories of guys getting down depths of 5+ meters. @@keshav9183 can I ask, have you had a chance to check out @learnGPR yet? If you haven't head over to Dan's channel, you will find he goes through the science a lot better than I do and will explain to why we call some soil bad and others good.

How do I get a job as a gpr tech?
@GeelongCableLocations2 жыл бұрын
Hi, when you say get a job as a GPR tech, but what did you want to do? As in do you mean the same as me where I go out and locate underground cables and pipes? If that is the case then you need to get a job with a utility locating company. If you mean you want to look for ancient artefacts and stuff like that, then you are probably best going to university and getting a degree, although you can also learn on the job as well, but it will be a lot easier to get a job if you can prove you have studied it.
