Fans ignored Poles ineptitude because he made a move that 30 other GMs would have made when making trade with CAR. CAR basically gave everything away just for the pick. It wasn’t Poles negotiation skills. He has made big mistakes that have hurt the team but people give him a pass for something everyone else would have done

I dont know if that trade with Carolina was as easy as people make it out to be! It did take some negogiating to get DJ Moore in that deal, but to your other point.....yes people have glossed over his mistakes for awhile now! But they are coming home to roost in a big way now....

Let’s see , Roquan, Edmonds, offensive line, valus,trading with Pittsburgh for wide receiver, Eberflush,Waldron , how many more mistakes can someone make before he should be fired. He’s destroying this team. Yeah he drafted Caleb what gm wouldn’t have drafted him if they had first pick. If you let him have this draft you’ll ruin this team for years to come

Ryan Poles wants to….errrr… The CLAN thinks otherwi$e. Kevin Warren says so… errrr… the CLAN $ay$, I don’t think so, try again. Get rid of Eberflus? Nah, the CLAN doe$n’t want to eat the last two year$ of hi$ contract to upgrade. The CLAN is the problem, many players have “checked out” and YOU are still filling their $eat$ AND they appreciate it. Remember, the owners Virginia and the CLAN... "they" still make all the important football/business decisions and have the FINAL say.

According to recent reports, the owners have been pretty hands off lately. It was Poles who wanted to bring Flus back for another season even though folks inside the building thought differently. So while yes they have a history of meddling, most of these mistakes seem to be on Poles and Poles alone….

NOT TRUE! The McCaskey’s chose Eberflus before Poles was even hired and limited Poles choices to three names. It’s no coincidence that he chose Eberflus two days after he was hired. That’s not the way Ryan Poles goes about searching for talent! Poles wanted to move on from Eberflus after last season and was interested in Jim Harbaugh. McCaskey wanted to stick with Eberflus and Kevin Warren wouldn’t even consider Harbaugh. Everybody who is calling for Poles to be fired don’t seem to realize how his hands are being tied! If Poles is gone the problems remain!

I mentioned Poles being handed the group of names but HE choose Eberflus! He and he alone. and Apparently Harbaugh was always going back to California regardless so Iguess its just who you choose to believe about that...

@ the current Bears situation has been handled wrong from the get go. George McCaskey asked his friend Bill Polian to help him pick the new head coach. They interviewed several candidates and both agreed on Eberflus. Then they interviewed GM candidates and agreed on Ryan Poles. When they brought in Poles they gave him the opportunity to select the head coach. They didn’t give him the freedom of selecting anybody. They only gave him three names which included Eberflus who they favored. This method is backwards. But McCaskey proceeded to complicate the system by later adding Kevin Warren as his President. This resulted in having a President who disconnected Ryan Poles from direct contact with him and raised the question whether Warren would like to work with Poles and the coaches. Now we see how these mistakes are playing out and Ryan Poles is caught in this web. I think Poles is a quality guy and if you replace him you’ll still be left with the source of all the Bears problems.

Most general managers get 2 before they're fired. Poles had his 2. Eberflus and Everlose. Should have fired him last year, but he brought him back. That's number 2. Really should have fired him midseason last year. And now he's on his 3rd, check that 4th offensive coordinator....3rd this season, and an interim coach. That like makes 2.5 head coaches. I think he should go. I've already stated My reasons in previous video comments.

I’m with you. The more I hear about Poles’ decision making behind the scenes and his reaction and body language on the presser with Warren shows that he’s not liking the way things are going. And I’m on the letting Poles go at the end of the season.
