My end game for the last while has been mask of mother demon, termite chest, and fire ant legs. So many buffs and debunks plus the dots is just insane. That plus the firefly goop trink, im for sure the front runner of my group lol

I like to incite chaos near the red ant hill on occasion using the full armor set and drawing various bugs towards it. Even in the later game it's still fun lol

Same. I usually draw one of the stink bugs over. By the time the ants kill it there's alot of dead ants to collect too

As a player who has played the game through 3 times as my main late game armor set I will use broodmother helmet, termite chest plate, and the fire ant pants, tons on debuff and u can even add a weapon of choice to add more debuffs up to 8-9

(10:15) the fluffy hat's sleek effect is RIDICULOUSLY slept on. i didn't think it was anything aside from a utility item but it practically removes the stamina bar from the game. genuinely took me by surprise

I always start with clover and move into grub for my first sets but I don't bother upgrading. Now idk. Clover was super quick to make and just made the start easier for food/water. Then while I farm enough acorns for my starter chests, I get all the grubs for the armor.

The widow armour almost eliminates the grind for smoothies. And smoothie ingredient grinding in 1.2 would occur in between every second upper yard jaunt. 😅 for me anyway. The widow armour would’ve helped me save 50 game days to completing game first time.

I like playing as ranged characters. So I play bows, then crossbows using high obstacles to my advantage until I can get ant lion set so I can shoot faster. Then I go for black ox crossbow, then work my way into going full wizzard with staffs. Wizzard hat and black ox chest and legs for the faster staff charge.

Fully agree on all the D tiers lmao. Honestly all those sets need to be reworked to have any use, though if Bee Armor had Slow Shot as it's piece effect instead of sleek it could have some utility at least. For the Black Ant set I wish they'd drop thorns altogether, taking damage is a terrible way to deal damage. Also Black Ants don't even have thorns or a counter move, all their armor set is kinda odd tbh. Wasp Armor is just a meme lmao. IBM armor is decent but it's soo niche. Maybe if it's piece effect gave your attacks a chance to proc an explosion it'd be more versatile, kinda like the IWS trinket but for melee attacks instead.

Any chance of a new tier list for 1.4 since the ant queen armors were added? Also I'd rate the antlion armor lower now since in ng+ you can get a trinket with sizzle immunity. Which makes the antlion armor pointless unless you want the set bonus.

I’m genuinely curious and don’t fully understand the ranking of acorn. Originally it was the second best in the game by far but early game it just doesn’t feel worth the extra attention you get from bugs

it is not worth it to make the acorn armor by the time you have enough berry chunks you might as well as just make lady bug armor

@az7ydota doesn't matter because any player with sanity would be trying to get a early insect axe and you might as well do berry chunks. But in terms of useful acorn armor yes it's a heavy armor bur by far its the worst tier one to me at least unless playing multiplayer I rather go grub or clover than acorn anyday

The reason I like aphkid is because if you had on the slippers and you had unlocked the coltana weapon in the charcoal bag you can go up to an aphid and kill it with the coltana than you can get free cooked aphid meat with no struggle.

1) Any spicy weapon will cook any creature when killed with it 2) Aphids aren't that fast, you can catch them with natural explorer and aphid slippers

That is true but I feel like they're is more aphids around than weevils or gnats but if you wanted a cooked aphid and they run up the grass you would have to shoot them with a spicy arrow and that could take a lot of resources. But you can always hit the grass and they'll fall but I haven't done that in a very long time because of aphkid so I don't know if they'll get stunned from the fall or not so I just prefer aphkid

Still don’t feel it’s great, most of the new trinket effects don’t help the blaster which is the main weapon if you have the IBM armor, I still wouldn’t use it personally.

Getting them one by one works just keep in mind that you’ll lose the ladybug set bonus. Also keep in mind it probably has slightly less defence than the full set of ladybug armor (upgrade level depending)

Sleek for individual pieces and bulky for the set. Set bonus is good but you need more defence if running the full set. Only one piece and you can run sleek as other armor pieces will make up for the loss in defence
