little info jade said wrong or forgot. -the fire ant staff isn't a normal staff like the fire or sour one. it's similar to the ice staff in attacks. you can use it to rapidly do long range attacks for average damage per shot or inflict debuffs, keep in mind though that the debuffs appear less often. great combo with new strategist armor -the ant armor doesn't give the summon soldier unless you have all 3 of the same type, such as red ant strategist armor. if you only have 2 of the same pieces and one is the other, for example the fire ant strategist pads, you wont get any summons. the soldiers appear as often as spider lings from mom genes. -the new spear and shield are unlocked by scanning the new infected ant parts, not feeding the infected queen the moldy Hodge. -the killbasa and sausager are unlocked when you feed your FIRST Infected Ant Queen, not when you feed all 3 of the infected queens. you would feed all 3 infected ant queens to get the new reroll versions of the crinkles, waffles, and cones within the new update. -the new yoked chance weapons from bosses DON'T do the same damage as their origional counterparts. it's a small increase. (if you watch the video at 10:35, you can see the difference in damage.)

It feels like they had to rush the weapons. There's some solid groundwork for a lot of originality but then they just slapped the same stats on all of them. Can't imagine this release date was Obsidian's idea.

@@Lil_Noris thats what I keep saying, they never specified we won't receive a 1.5 just that they don't have any actual plans for a 1.5 so if we see a 1.5, it will come out of the blue...and they have lots of room to add stuff, especially with the addition of "Dimensional Anomalies" in the creature cards, they could expand that further we see the amount of fungus spread across the yard, why not add some sort of "Fungal Heart", maybe the Humungus thats been mentioned make it the source & root of all fungus you can either...chop it, getting a unique item or items...but next NG+ all fungal growths are replaced by dead growths, so you'd eliminate all infected bugs, strange spores & fungal growths for an entire NG+ or you can I don't know...give it a moldy hoagie?, and it will put it into overdrive, so next NG+...you'll see new infected bugs spawning such as - Infected Antlions - Infected Stinkbug - Infected Bombardier heck, maybe this can be their opportunity to add the Infected Mantis...the IBM came out of nowhere, nobody knew about it till the update released why can't they do the same, and give a random out of the blue update that makes the Infected Mantis spawnable if something is done at the Orchid Bush

Agreed, I find it a HUGE oversight that we can take weapons to +15 but there are no armor upgrades.

kinda disappointing mages got shafted this update. Still no salty magic weapon. I had this idea for a staff that made shards of salt burst from the ground, but guess we will have to settle for a single acid staff, and no tier 4 weapons at all.

to be fair, the staves are called the "candy staves", salt isn't one of the candy but I agree...we could have gotten some more magic weapons in this update but...who knows, they never said 1.5 won't release just that this was the last planned update

@@xxmension04xx47 yes but they can be forged into an element, they could have very easily made each staff base and made them non elemental. That would have given mage players tons of options to work with.

The scepter does not summon anything. It only increases the summon HP, the queen ant armor set bonus summons ants

@@EkkoMr it increases all the friendly summons around you (that have already been summoned) by 100 HP. It does not increase their lifespan and I don't think it heals. You also have to hit something with the scepter for it to activate.

a big gripe i have with the weapons is that there isn't any new salt weapons, yeah there is the pickaxe, but that's more of a tool than a weapon, i was hoping for a salty sword or something

@calebcentek9583 yeah, the lack of 1 handed weapons bites hard, so far the only remixed weapon that seems wroth it is the ice axe, love the attack speed and armor rending with the mutation, really hope they actually mix the weapons in a quick patch

I love the small detail of the black ant repair tool...that detail being that its a Tier II repair tool, and the Tier I repair tool was made with red ant parts and black ants are the stronger ones of the two, so their repair tool would be stronger...and it goes well with the black ant shovel, both are Tier II tools who's only true use is utility

Yeah none of the new weapons should have been locked behind NG+ since that's not what NG+ is supposed to be in nearly any other game that has it. NG+ should just be a new start with all your power and gear carried over to a fresh world with beefed up enemies, not locking some disappointingly basic weapons behind a 3 layer deep boss rush

@@FlareFritz and by extension, theyre not MEANT to be new craazy weapons,, but the theme of NG+ is Dimensions, and (crazy enough) the weapons will be DIFFERENT from OURS in some universes theres fresh, spicy, sour, in some others Tully made larger breakthroughs inventing time travel, give over, its unique collecters items ffs.

I think Ant Queen repair tool might be bugged. I tried it on my custom world, and it seems to have some difficulty targeting walls. I had it work once, then after that, no matter if I'm close or not, aiming at it or not, within line of sight or not, it doesn't work. I even tested with the basic red ant repair tool to check if the actual structures were bugged, and that one worked fine.

It's ultimately up to each person. I killed them first for the armor. In ng+ 1 I'm gonna befriend them. In ng+2 I'm gonna infect them all since that's when we get all the recipes for infecting. And so I get all 3 infecting rewards in the same ng+ playthrough. But first i need to see if I have a save from before ng+ so I can go back and do the mixrs and milk molars to 100% it.

I went with infecting the red ant queen in Base game, and befriended the other two that way in NG+1, I can get the infected queen stuff...and can then infect the black ant queen for NG+2 then NG+2, I can befriend the red ant queen and get the full mutation...and can feed the infected black ant queen for the glowbasa wristband, and infect the fire ant queen then by NG+3, I can feed the new infected queen and get the glowbasa necklace, and have everything the ant queens provide...all armour sets, tools, decor and infected ant stuff

I dont mind that they are the same. The axe replaces the termite axe so my plan is to have one of each ele axe for the damage boost to corresponding bugs then the wolopenio if it still lets you bust stuff. Replace my tools with weapons that still function as tools means i dont have to replace my mutations as much. Edit: im more annoyed that it apears we must destroy trinkets to upgrade and cant upgrade weapons and have all trinkets.. dont like the sound of that. I dont use them but i still want to hold the trinkets, im a collector.

You can get extra trinkets from killing bugs so you don't have to destroy the ones you collected!

@thetinmanking i noticed as more coverage of ng+ releases and they come from everything not just bosses. Tho I see why it's so dificult in ng+, you can't upgrade armor, seems like a very necessary thing to implement especially you have to go to ng+3 in order to get all the peep.r bugs with the infected ant queens so, 100% isn't even possible until ng+3 which is from what I've seen one shot deaths starts.

You don’t have to beat the broodmother first to craft the first new set of weapons you only need to beat it to get the new upgrade bench to get the weapons higher

yeah the scepter is a MASSIVE disappointment so far Love the idea, if it had a higher or guaranteed summon chance so I could have a squad of ants which was the whole reason I bothered with befriending the queens, Id be so happy and it seems like thats what they wanted it to be so why theyre being so scared to make it work as advertised I dont know but its a huge letdown as it is currently

@@CaptainPrincess That is what I'm telling you. Believe it or don't I'm on NG+5 and have all the new weapons and armour, I'm _telling you_ what it does. The scepter heals summons on each hit, it does not itself summon. The summon ability comes from the set bonus of the new strategist armour sets.

If you’re talking about the remix room that takes you to a new game plus, stand in front of the oak tree lab or the first lab you had to encounter when you started playing the game, by the pond. Then cross the pond straight on towards the Stonewall on the other side of the pond, depending on where you are on the other side, it will be either a little bit to your left or a little bit to your right from that general location but it is basically a hole in the Stonewall on the first level of the game or another way to put it, on the same level as the pond is at, hopefully that helps.
