I think this switch port is actually pretty good. It was very blurry at first, but you can reduce the blur by just turning off chromatic aberration. So I've literally gotten to the endgame on switch, and it's super playable, so I'm bot complaining about the switcb port.

I am amazed people are still surprised that the switch edition looks worse. Like, the switch is the only console that does not have 4k resolution. It's 720p in handheld and I think 1080p on a tv. No shit its gonna be worse. And forget about volumetric lighting or dynamic shadows

Me and a friend on XBOX are playing a shared world. I am on PS5 and Crossplay works great. I just had to add him as a Microsoft XBox friend on my XBox companion App on my Laptop. So once we were xbox friends we were able to see each other hosting.

I am currently having a few issues with Grounded causing my PS5 to turn off because of possible overheating but I took my cover off and it seems better for now.

When they made the comparisons, did each version have the "depth of field" set the same?

I don't care what people say, but I love the Switch version! I'm not a graphics whore, but it plays great 90% of the time!

How's it handle big bases? Any idea? Thats the feedback I'm missing to really decide whether or not to get it.

@@Clogmonger It may be hard to relatively convey a base size, but I have one on the big oak tree that takes up about the same size of the circumference of the tree and there have been no real problems to speak of. You will notice the odd frame drop when surrounded by lots of grass, and when it autosaves though

Bro your speaking facts hearing people downtalking the switch version but it's honestly really good. When you compare it to some of the other garbage ports on the switch, then this port is a godsend

Same here. Playing it on Switch handheld and docked and it’s really not bad. It can be a bit blurry but I was never a graphics whore. The only thing I dislike is the constant pop-in

I'm also really enjoying the switch version and normally I hate games ported to the switch like Hogwarts legacy sucked but grounded was easily worth 40 bucks

Think I may have found a hidden tricket or something but I've had this non Grabbable item in my game for a while now and is still there thru the last couple of updates and idk where or who to share it to (I'm on the series X)

I have been playing this for the past week on PS5 and maybe my memory is not that great but I feel like that is not how the game looks on PS5. It looks pretty clear to me.

The switch is essentially an ARM based phone without a sim card. If your phone could play Grounded as good/bad as a Switch, you wouldn't complain.

Not having an issue with crossplay, I'm using my PC with a friend on PS5 and another on Xbox series S. Granted setting up the shared save world was strange though.

So basically what's happening is that they didn't deliberately make a next gen version like Xbox and made one version that can balance ps4 tech aswell as ps5 tech

The switch version is totally passable for handheld play if you ask me. I've considered giving it a go, but not enough feedback on late game performance.

I have been playing on switch and I'm in the endgame now, I have a decently big base on the oak tree and there are no problems in performance, however there is one spot where the game tanks wich is the hedge lab. For whatever reason this lab will bring you down to about 20 or lower fps, not unplayable, but much worse than the rest of the game. So I'd say that if you can get past the hedge lab the rest of the game will be very fun.

Ps5 here. It was a pain to even get to play crossplay. We had to have the pc player host and the Xbox player couldn't hear anyone but the pc player. It worked besides that. As far as ps5 to ps5 mp.... it works great most of the time. I lost all progress on my character once. Which sucked losing mutations but it was early game. The shared save process is tedious but all in all loving the game.

To connect you need to enable crossplay, it worked perfectly with my friend and kids sooo

I (PC) played with my brother (XBox) for over 50 hours and we never had connection issues and we're not in the same Wifi or anything. So I'm sorry it wasn't working for you😢

Proprietary upsizers. For PC most games look better with DLSS with FSR showing way too much noise. Luckily with Grounded the noise from FSR is low and the image great since it is simple Pixar like graphics it is upsizing. Funny that a PC weaker than either console can provide better quality at 4K using FSR.

Crossplay is a pain to figure out but it works fine Also trying to compare switch to console/pc is getting out of hand your playing on a weaker system get over the graphics quit complaining enjoy gaming again.
