I just found out you can farm cones from Red worker ants, so I’ve farmed the Red Ant Hill twice in NG+3. Got one very nice drop: Samurai-Spicy Up Best-Damage Resist Even with a level 12 Coaltana, this thing has amazing damage toward the Broodmother. Along with blade master mutation I take so much less damage. Very fun to play with. This’ll probably be my go to build to farm the Infused Club. But I gotta test to see if it’s better than my Sour Battle Axe build, I have an Implant Sour-Sour Up Major-Crit Damage Up Major for that build.

Finally a poweful fun build, currently at NG+2 with coaltana with a Trinket that put spice weakness and has spice damage major, so anyone is weak to my weapon. Your buold is perfect for what I'm looking for, a goal to pursuit. Great video, the intro was a a very nice personal touch, love it

Im in NG+1 and tried this with the sour sword and just the mutations and it has amazing potential. Im doing a 3 player world right now and I act as the damage. This will help me be more of a team player with the debuffs this applys. Thx for the build

Iv been using salt morning star with fire ant armor and rolly polly shield with salt damage up best, life steal and crit damage up major its a really good build and i rarely need to use heals and it puts out pretty good damge

Ngl I have a suggestion of a build I made it’s a pickle maul fire ant build so you can really make a weapon with the dumbest name the most feared thing (ofc without barbarian)

Just a little curious is it possible to use a shield to block incredibly dangerous attacks and unequip it when you want to deal more damage

It's possible, but you will lose your Samurai stacks doing so. The katanas are 2 handed weapons...as such, equipping the shield unequips the katana. It's not a big deal. You can get your 5 stacks back fairly quick. It's totally up to you.

My build rn an axe build. Chopper coup de grass trapper peep.r mutations Fire ant leggings bulky path roly poly chest sleek path helm of the mother demon sleek trinket like steal increased healing and block stun. good damage per hit plus the dr reduction of chopper and fire ant armor plus really high defense makes ng+ survivable without sacking damage

I haven't tried it yet, but fists likely are viable in ng+. It would likely work because you can't miss perfect blocks in ng+ or you'll get got, which works great with lil fists as you're dmg stacks until you take dmg.

If you want a powerful early Ng+ unarmed build then try this build since it shreds any tanky bug even if it has 5x hp -full fire strategist set -fire any shield -ibm trinket Mutations -lil fist -Mom genes -Mantsterious stranger -tuffle tussle This build is a DPS monster against the Ng+ mantis since with this build I was able to kill a Ng+1 mantis in a minute. Not even kidding

From my testing spore lord doesn't do anything, and + summon attack is ridiculous with this build

Curious why you feel that way. If you perfect block every hit, you never take damage. Therefore, every build is viable on every difficulty. Even using non upgraded t1 equipment is viable thanks to the minimum dmg equation. So, really, it all comes down to Time-to-kill and skill issues on the players part.

I've ran the numbers on pretty much every solid build I've seen on reddit and KZbin. The battleaxes are indeed fantastic weapons. But you're stuck in your own head mate.

This build isn't good enough. For higher new game+'es it's not gonna work too well (mainly on Whoa mode, lower difficulties are way easier). If you are using swords, you might as well use the battle axes, because they are way better and their mutation is better too. Also, way too many enemies are resistant to slashing (sword damage) so it's not viable for many of the bosses/enemies. But if you really wanna use this sword build, go for the toenail scimitar, if you aren't confident enough with perfect blocking, since you can use a shield with it. Also the build would benefit from a fire ant armor piece and some broodmother armor piece to apply the negative status effects to enemies!!

This is hilarious and wrong on so many lvls. "If youre using swords you might as well use the battle axes" - doesn't work with samurai...axes don't work with this build at all. "Too many enemies are resistant to slashing" - you clearly weren't paying attention to the dmg output then...it doesn't matter if they're resistant if I'm hitting them 10x faster than any other weapon can output. "But if you really want to use a sword, go with the toenail scimitar" - oh man...you say swords are weak and then recommend people use a 1-handed sword...brilliant. It can be strong with the proper build, but it will never be powerful. "If you aren't confident with perfect blocking [while using the toenail scimitar], use a shield" - unbelievable...you have somehow figured out how to make a 1 handed sword even weaker! You're stuck following the "meta" that so many youtubers get wrong. It's time to think outside the box.
