Just wanna leave a wee note to say, I kinda like the longer format videos (I know they are more work) but you get to see more of the whole process. The end result is mega (as usual). Great work Brent!

I really liked this video for the format and the fact that you showed when and at what times you sealed the paint before starting another color on the same area that helped me alot in my own painting. going back and fixing mistakes on an area you just finished really is discouraging when you have to do it constantly. Great job on the model.

Well Thursday again with Dad the guru of all things 3d printed and painted. I got this one to paint dreading the animals !! Hopefully mine may look something like yours, if they do I'd be well chuffed !! Great job thanks for all the tips !!
@VanHoeringАй бұрын
I've made the same mistake. Drybrushing white highlights, and going back over them with citadel contrast paint. And yeah, many contrast paints are so potent they just obliterate your underlying white highlights! One solution I found was thinning them down with the citadel contrast medium, usually as much as 3 parts medium to one part paint, and it makes contrast paints much more flexible and forgiving. You have to apply at least 2 coats, but any underlying shading will show through, and the end result will look like you put much more skill and effort into it than you actually did. ;)

I would love to see a video on the way you set up your supports (currently). I can never see any divots in your work and that impresses the crap out of me.
@DUSKtillDAN6662 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure Brent has made videos on his use of supports in the past. Have a look at his video library on here. He's helped me with so much over the past few years. Im always learning though. I'm definitely not as good as him. Often it just takes a bit of practice, experience and playing around. I played around with connection settings and depth of contact points etc and got mine nearly perfect too. Also I find soaking in hot water for 5 mins just before you remove supports helps them break away easier and cleaner. Not boiling hot but hot warm so you can still put your hand in without getting burnt
