I just love watching your videos, I have had an airbrush for a year and it scared me to pick it up, haha. But you gave me a bit of hope, now I just slap paint on it and if I hate it try again. One thing that is driving me nuts is holding these models while I airbrush, I do end up spraying myself most of the time, LOL, I see that you have used paint handles on some, sometimes that works and sometimes they swivel and then have to get creative on where to dry them. Wondering if you would consider ever doing a tip video about just holding these blasted pieces! Have a great one and your work is amazing!

That's more of the comic book Sonja. Also it's always a zenithal no matter the colours. You can also do a zenithal from below and lay down osl type stuff. You don't have to use black as the base primer. This way you can affect the tones. But you know this. I like how you simple things down

Awesome going to be printing this soon and will follow your paint job, one question; do you seal any of your models between coats like before putting washes on ? or even seal at the end ?
@Groundeffected4 ай бұрын
For commissions spray matte clear varnish but for my own I don’t seal them the paint cures and is quite strong protection but a clear coat is ideal. I’m just always pushed for time or too lazy.

You should try the green stuff world chrome metal paints (brush and air, though you can use the brush in an airbrush. Thin with ispropol). If you do a heavy coat of the silver it's like a mirror if its over gloss black primer. The other colours aren't as reflective but are way better than any other metal paints i have tried.
@Groundeffected4 ай бұрын
I have tried them. That chrome takes too long to dry tho. I just stay away from chromes for faster work times. Unless it’s absolutely necessary then I’ll have to plan much further ahead for drying times
@Zuluknob4 ай бұрын
@@Groundeffected yeh, it does slow things down. I have a couple of models on the go at the same time so it's not so bad. That wouldn't really work for you with your time constraints.

The model turned out great! Also a little "fun fact": My parents told me that when I was a little kid, I said that i liked Red Sonja better than Conan because she chopped people's heads off and Conan just stabbed people.
@hyrulliandesigns95984 ай бұрын
hey brent do you have any issues with ABS like resin statues... leaning? ive noticed that the key slots in the bases of some statues will bend over time. So the statue will start to learn.... and keep leaning until its so top heavy that it falls over. Some heat will temporary fix the issue, but yeah, have you had this issue?

What size of needle do you usually use in your airbrush? I found that 0,5 needle that I use for my cosplay pieces is way too big to paint scale figures.
@Groundeffected4 ай бұрын
I use only 0.5 haha even for minis. But if I really wanna push the quality on a 32mm miniature then I’ll go down to 0.3. But that’s very rare
