That is determined by rankings, not the coaches. Nothing can be done in singles. In doubles you would have to put up a scratch pair which won't happen with #1 doubles in that match up.

@@mysongskkg3381 he is playing from era of prime lin-dan and prime leechong wei and still can't produce results in 2024 and gets defeated by tier-2 players, really bro be legit he has been showing downgrade performance from 2012. IDK why India has been selecting him for international tournament, I think there should be yearly qualification or quarterly qualification to see if the current player is performing as per the requirement otherwise he should be replaced with new player that shows better growth.
