They are referring to the World Championship of FIRST Robotics Competition (FIRST is an acronym standing for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology”)

@@thatguyoverthere1224 what makes them consistently good is a strong mentor base, documentation and a design process that is tried and true. I talked to them at champs and the students are incredibly bright. They know the entire robot down to the bolts. Same with most top teams. How you win is iterations (build it, if it doesnt work try again, if it does, keep it), and driver practice. No elite team goes with their first robot. Just accept that some teams are better than you. I know I have and I chose to learn and my team was ranked 1000th in the US to last year being top 200 this year. It all about design process and transfer of knowledge thru documentation and training. Be better, not GP
