Miss Iris when she was young damn..... So gorgeous . Iris by the way people wanting to know is still with us. She lives in California with her long time love and husband who name is Zac. And she has 4 children . During the shooting of this iris was all of 17 . Still good looking these days she spent many years writing articles for various music magazines and was close to Frank Zappa at one point for a while. These days she still does some writing, goes to the odd rock show when anyone really good tours . No longer a groupie but still recognised.... Iris has lost very very little of her gorgeous looks

Thx CS for this post. I saw Iris in another archive video. They never said her name there but a lot of the other footage was the same. I looked all around for info on her, but i had no name to go on. I am glad her fate was better than what i had imagined. Lots of these girl get hooked on drugs and passed between dudes like party favors. Don't ever tell anyone her last name. I know its nieve but as I get older I kind of have this romantic impression of the 70s. Particulary the early 70s. Maybe sexy too. Gorgeous looking young natural girls, who were not just adventurous but maybe actually read books and had no concept of female reality stars to look up to. Most of the female pop stars of the period weren't really known for sex appeal as much as having some depth and actual talent. They may have smoked alot of weed or grass, lol, cigarettes or been into hallucinogens. But also played records, were into poetry and wanted to travel and even though many became hippies to escape their conservative, boorish, parents they still were a hell of a lot more interesting then teen girls today. Not to say there aren't some exceptions. I'll bet most guys back then had a ball who came of age. So young women really had to explore on their own. Not trying to emulate some phoney idolsl! I mean sure these groupie girls wanted to party but it seem like to me if you were reasonably good looking and were into drugs, lol, you most likely were getting action back then. Especially if you were a budding musician. The girls may have been a mess but at least they were free spirited and didn't have their heads buried in electronic devices constantly seeing images and distracted with nonsense. Defenitely less vanity with no Instagram or Facebook. Not a perfect time but defenitely simpler and I'll bet for many people who came of age back then more tolerable! I dunno maybe I've seen to many 70s exploitation movies or just loved The Runaways movie so much.

@@essies4294 Yeh, I totally agree on your second point, what passes for prettiness or beauty these days falls within a very narrow band, which is sad. A band that seems to require make up, and much more. My choice of wording was a bit off, it's not so much pretty as a holistic beauty in the physical and in personality in relationship to the girl in the film. I could be wrong but as a man it seems to me that women define what beauty is nowadays, and it's all about makeup, grooming and clothes; and even through cosmetic enhancement. Personality is secondary. It's a shame because this "falsification" hides a lot of natural beauty in spirit and body; and places women under a crazy amount of pressure. Men are mostly simple creatures with thousands of years of evolution designed to create attraction on multiple levels - women too. Men and women could do with kicking a good proportion of our beautification into touch and get back to enjoying being and being attracted to one another for our intrinic beauty with some grooming and smart clothing thrown in to give us a bit of confidence. The importance of image over substance has got too strong... Tiktok!!!

I came out of that lost generation , and I thank the Dear Lord above , He spared me from most of the poison we were faced with , at that time . What I would say to the young today , or the young of any time , take care that the Evil one not lead you along , a path you would not otherwise take , if age , and the wisdom that comes with age were with you . I could be wrong , but I'bet nearly every dime I have , that many of those so called groupies , when looking back on that [ TIME ] , regret their actions , and would if they could take another road . Iris though beautiful , was also very , very young , and though the young / Teenagers thing they have all the answers , the fact still remains that no Twenty year old , much less a 17 year old could match the life experience of someone who is twenty , or thirty years their senior . The reason is simple ; They haven't lived . Lastly I also bet , that Iris if you made it out of that evil , that you have far more respect , and understanding of what your parents wen't through at that time , and if by any chance you have Children of your own well , I hope the past , and what you've come to learn will give you the answers you need . It might be all fun to start out with but it would be be monotonous and empty, every day the same. Even the rock stars get sick of it - the traveling, on the road all the time, being stuck with the same faces every day. The constant boozing and drugs and women who a;; look and cat the same after a while. The exhaustion of touring, homesickness, the demanding fans and record companies, the ripoffs by them and the execs. No wonder they become cynical. Being a groupie wouldn't be any better. It's a very artificial meaningless life.
