I was here too. Beautiful fall day, and the chop never looked or sounded more beautiful

I was still living in Baton Rouge, my brother called me at work and said to drive to New Orleans after work and get on a plane, he had tickets to the game. Was a great game! Tickets were behind home plate and for some reason the network kept interviewing John Smoltz' sports psychologist about 10 rows in front of us which of course blocked the view during the game, and all should be glad that the "sound" behind them was not able to be heard, lol.

13 runs scored in this game - and a grand TOTAL of 18 runs scored combined in the other 6 games of this series. Probably the best-pitched 7-game series of all time.

I don't know if this one went the distance, but 1995 WS was a well-pitched series as well.

I was on a trip with my high school band this day, and I remember running into my hotel room to turn this game on. I had suffered for so many years for being a Braves fan, at school. This was probably my favorite season ever, in any sport. Too bad it ended the way it did in Minnesota, but a dynasty was born that year. Dave Justice was unreal, winning ROY that season.

He won ROY in 1990 I believe.

If anyone is dissuaded by the audio at the beginning, it does straighten out by the first inning.

Pirates fans would probably like to not ever think of him again after his performance in this series. Braves scored 14 runs in the two games he started and just 5 runs TOTAL in the other five games of the series.

hated the braves and loved seeing teams that rarely shined get this deep in the playoffs. that pirate team was really good, and i really was bummed they didn't pull it out in the end.

Bonds was by far the best player I’ve seen followed by Griffey jr and David Ortiz but Bonds had the best eye in baseball their was no way you could fool Bonds with a pitch out of the zone and the second you throw a bad pitch it’s going deep I’ll always remember the pitch where Bonds hit it deep into the 91 freeway against the angels when bonds was a Giant Garrett Anderson didn’t even turn around he knew that was gone and DH Tim Salmon just said “that’s the farthest ball I’ve seen hit.”

4:43 Good old playoff choking Barry Bonds. Stargell would have hit a walk off home run in game 2.
