I hand-hammer all the jingles for Grover tambourines. Glad you like em!

this was very helpful, thank you. I have to put these time stamps to compare my fav section side by side: 0:46 single row Beryllium Copper/Phosphorus Bronze 1:55 Beryllium Copper 3:04 Hybrid Silver 4:11 German Silver 5:16 without head, Phosporus Bronze/German Silver
I’ve always heard that beryllium copper makes a good triangle too but I cannot find a single example on all of the internet. Kind of weird that almost all references to the alloy note the use in triangles as well as tambourines but I can’t substantiate that with an actual example I can purchase.

Which jingles do you think gets a warmer sound, beryllium copper or phosphorus bronze?

Hi there. I don't have a tambourine that has only bronze jingles, do I can't do direct comparison. But I'm quite used to comparing those materials when it comes to snare drums, and there I find bronze and copper mostly having a sustain difference. Bronze might feel brighter since it's high overtones sustain longer, and copper warmer for opposite reasons. But it's hard to give definitive answer. But I really do feel my copper Grover being really warm sounding.

@@alexandrabrownfranco9388 We would say that Phosphor Bronze is a little "darker", and preferred in Europe.
